Nice staff, lovely building, not amazing choice of beer, disappointing

We found a bar lady to be rude, therefore making the atmosphere not very welcoming. Also, I'm not sure about the cat being allowed to be on the bar, not only to sleep on but to walk along it and on top of the crisps. I am all for pub animals, but some people might have allergies to fur.

Being a group of 16,the overall opinion was a very enjoyable annual lunch, apart from the unavailability of lamb. The service was good but when knowing the size of our party one extra staff would have served quicker and kept the food hotter.

Booked an emailed for set Christmas lunch for 3 out of 4 guests. When we arrived we were told they didn’t see the email so wasn’t set up for Christmas lunch. We did get the turkey dinners but not a single Christmas cracker serviette party popper on the table. I asked why we weren’t given any as other tables were set up with them. Was told they had run out (it was 14 Dec!)but could probably find two crackers. Food was ok but just a roast dinner so found it not very good value for money at £30 for two courses lLovely pub but probably won’t bother going back again

Lovely food, fantastic garden, good service, lovely place to be on a summers evening.... but I tend to go most weeks , friendly staff, feel safe to go with older female friendsParking: There is quite a lot of parking both in car park and local quiet street

Nice little pub and friendly staff. Had a nice roast and a pint. Would recommend, especially with a local walk ?

Best pub we've been to in years. If not ever. It has amazing atmosphere, great food, lots of vegetarian and vegan options, lovely staff, cozy fireplace, and even a pub cat! ??‍⬛

Visited for a family Sunday lunch. Three of us had the roast (two lamb, one beef). Personally, a little disappointed by the lamb, but parents both enjoyed theirs. Husband went rogue and had calves liver, which he absolutely loved and my lamb disappointment was lessened by the delicious triple choc cheesecake. Service was excellent - particularly want to single out the young man, possibly working one of his first shifts, who offered my father assistance getting out of his chair. Not often you see customer service that goes beyond the food and drinks, so top marks to him. Finalky, got to love a place that when you ask for a table in a dog friendly part of the pub tells you you're not coming in, if you don't have a dog with you. :-)

We knew nothing of this venue before visiting. None of us were local and it was a 'meet half way' venue. We weren't disappointed. Lovely Sunday lunch, excellent service and good atmosphere. The only slight disappointment was, I'm told by two our our group, the coffee which let down an otherwise excellent meal. Would have no hesitation in returning if we need to 'meet half way' in the area again.

This was a great find! Super dog friendly, including dog treats when we ordered our drinks and some sausage after we'd had our dinner! Not only that, but it's great for humans too! There is a lovely fire for cold days, but you'll need to book those spots. We went on a weekday afternoon but even so lots of tables were reserved. The service was lovely and personal too. We will definitely be back!

Couldn't have been nicer. Mid day lunch with family, busy pub with nice atmosphere, very efficient friendly service, excellent food, very well priced. Also dog friendly, which is lovely, and own car park. Very pleased, thank you !
