My family visited L'Ortolan for dinner in early December to celebrate a doctoral graduation. We all had the 8 course Festive Feast menu and each course was exquisite. What was particularly good was that while one of our party was a vegan, her food for the most part looked just like ours and tasted equally amazing. I would have no hesitation in recommending L'Ortolan for any occasion, be it just for dinner or to celebrate a very special occasion.
Great Christmas get together with a friend. Fantastic food, we had the tasting menu, every course was exceptional. Staff were pleasant, service great and a lovely Christmas atmosphere.

Never had a bad meal here, and there's a great, interesting wine list, too. I will never understand Michelin. Some places never deserved one in the first place, some should have had them taken away ages ago. And this place should never have lost it.
