Given the lack of and the mixed reviews we came here not expecting much. We were however presently surprised at how amazing this dinner was. We had the gnocchi and the chickpea burger, both were delicious, but the gnocchi was especially amazing, the best I have ever had. We ended up going for the brownies and ice cream from the kids meal, which they scaled up to an adult portion, which was very hospitable of them. The lady serving us was excellent also. Only thing I would improve on would be the atmosphere, background music, dimmed lighting etc... Overall fantastic.

Good. We dined there twice while staying at the hotel. First time was a miss, we felt the food was too salty. Second evening we were quite happy. Can't tell exactly what we had.

Tasty food. Would have given it 5 but the desserts were not very tasty and a staff member sneezed on/near us without a mask which didn’t feel great

My friends and I just had the most wonderful afternoon tea here .I visited some 5 weeks ago for dinner and was not impressed and vowed not to return. However I found myself here again but I have to say on this occasion everything was just wonderful.Fresh and imaginative sandwiches, freshly cut and not served from a cold fridge. The pastries really cute pretty and absolutely delicious. The tea was served on freshly laid trays with sparking silver tea pots and clean white china cups and crisp fresh white napkins.Well done to Debbie the General Manger and her team.I hope you go from strength to strength as custodians of this beautiful little hotel , improving all the way.

I have just returned from a two night stay at this hotel which was enjoyable. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. Our room was on the second floor and looked out onto the extensive grounds. I made a mistake by not enquiring as to whether the hotel had a lift as my sister-in-law had walking difficulties. However, she managed. Our meal arrangement was breakfast and dinner in the evening to include "nibbles" and two courses from the menu. If we required a further course, this was an extra. We had a delightful Vietnamese waitress on our first evening by the name of Le. She was absolutely charming. She informed us that this weekend the hotel had an Indian Wedding taking place and that an elephant would be arriving for the ceremony. We were sorry we couldn't witness the proceedings. One thing I would like to mention is that the hotel is on an incline and when exiting, it is very difficult to see the traffic approaching and a mirror on the opposite side of the road would be helpful.

Having vowed never to return to this restaurant, I found myself here with friends for afternoon tea - I was feeling disappointed. However, upon arrival.....fresh flowers in reception it looked lovely . The afternoon tea was so delicious. Fresh cut sandwiches not served from a fridge . Imaginative fillings fresh cooked little scones and pastries bite size and sheer heaven. Tea tray was laid with fresh crisp white napkins , sparking silver teapots, white china cups and saucers all beautiful. We had the most wonderful afternoon, not hurried the setting is delightful. Well done to Debbie and her team, this little hotel I feel is gong to go from strength to strength . I look forward to returning to try a Friday/ Saturday night supper very soon. HP - SURREY

Beware the on line menu.. Which looks very tempting. Upon arrival we were handed a white paper laminated All Day Flex menu. The food choice was pretty much basic pub food. So disappointed... The best offering on the menu was desserts.... Staff trying hard to please... Hotel decor very nice... But food quality very poor. We paid £60 a head Inc drinks.... We won't return. HP

Menu was limited prob due to Covid but what we had was nicely presented and arrived quickly. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Tried out the restaurant for breakfast and dinner and both were impressive. The breakfast buffet has good options including gluten-free breads on request. Sausages were really excellent. At dinner the staff were friendly, competent and the menu offers a decent range of foods. I tried the goat cheese salad, Vietnamese rolls and fish and chips - all of them were tasty and well presented. Deserts were absolutely fabulous as the chocolate with orange deluxe was superb. The setting itself is nice and my view from the window was calming and a great place to enjoy great food in a nice setting.
