Great food and service, plenty of parking. This was my first time and won't be my last! Also we liked the fact that we weren't rushed.

Disappointing to say the least! We came in New Years Eve for their New Years Eve Event - 3 course meal and quiz. I didn’t even mind that the service was So Slow as we weren’t in a rush. But the meals were appalling!! Seriously, who have you got cooking!!! At time of booking we were told the quiz was going to start at 9.30. We left at 10.30-11 and it was a no show! The pub it self is lovely, full of character, the locals who, many came in for drink, not food (wisely) created a lovely atmosphere but if you are looking for a decent meal….. sadly you will have to look elsewhere!

We live locally and enjoy popping in for a drink by the fire but hadn’t eaten there for sometime so booked a Christmas meal with friends. We all had the pie which was excellent! The staff struggled to cope with a very busy night but did a good job under the circumstances. Overall a lovely meal but spoilt somewhat by the ridiculously bright lights in the dining area! It felt like we were eating in an operating theatre and completely ruined the cosy country pub atmosphere. Easy to fix with a dimmer switch or less powerful bulbs though - or next time I will request a table in the bar.

Such a shame as could be such an amazing place, it’s lovely setting, great decor but never feels inviting (and might be due to constant temp managers who in all fairness aren’t there long term to make it a successful personal business so no incentive to them in long term repeat business). Just wish someone would take it over and make it work as such a great catchment area/such a great local community. Went again tonight after a while of not going and felt like they couldn’t wait for us to leave so they could close up early for the night, things like that just don’t make you want to go back sadly.

Very poor lunch and service . Have not been for a number of years but had arranged to take a friend for lunch . Wish we had chosen elsewhere . There were a number of large groups and staff clearly not up to dealing with the service. 2 young guys behind bar and serving - had a very indifferent attitude. We waited an hour for food for a table for 2 . The scampi and chips was of very poor quality and peas inedible , appalling for the price . The fish of day was not very fresh and side salad was in a small ramekin . With soft drinks only the bill was £49.00 . Food was very poor .will not be returning.

We waited over 40 minutes between starters and mains despite me chasing twice. When mains arrived they were either tepid or cold! It would appear they could not cope with the number of covers. After complaining we did get a 25% discount but it didn’t really make up for the cold food!

Stayed here at the start of the month. Booked a reservation for food, which was delicious and served with a smile. Slight wait on drink however they did have entertainment booked, a singer who was enjoyable! So could understand a busy bar delaying our drinks order. After dinner we decided to embark to the bar, and take advantage of the live music being played. A really great night! Wish I was local to the pub, Cosy and a great atmosphere with all the regulars! Only downside would be the price of drinks, however location and general aura of the place made the price slightly understandable! All in all, me and my other half thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and cannot wait to stop off here again! Highly recommend the bunk! You will be looked after beautifully!

A really fantastic place to stay, the pub had a wonderful range of wines and the food was excellent. The accommodation was really first class, well appointed room which was not affected by any noise from the pub and the breakfast was delicious. Really great place to stay, I will return.

We came for an early dinner on Friday evening and it was lovely. Great service from Thomas and we'll definitely be back.

On arrival we thought room looked well presented and tidy. We checked menu and decided to have dinner here. My choice of smoked fishcakes had been taken off menu so I opted for fish pie.A big mistake! It didn't look very apppetising. There was hardly any fish in it and a couple of tough prawns in a bland sauce.and mostly mash potato. We opted for a mini dessert and that was poor too. Extremely disappointed with the food as the restaurant wasn't busy and it didn't meet our expectations compared to our rooms.

The rooms looked very nice and at first felt cost in the day. Later on I tried my TV to chill out and watch something and had issues getting it to do anything just a blank screen with noise coming out. Figured out that the controller batteries were probably an issue so went to the front to ask for replacements. The guy asked around and said they had none. If that was me I would have tried sort this as soon as possible. The food was dreadful and very expensive. My Mum had an over cooked fish dish (rubber) and smash on top (nearly £20) and manky looking cabbage. Dad's pork chop looked weird with more gravy than food and his beer was warm. Must admit my steak was alright but it's hard to enjoy it when the rest of your family are not enjoying theirs. We braved dessert hoping for an improvement and got a horrible dry brownie with cold out the bottle fake chocolate sauce and spilt coffee with no offer to clean it up. There was no heating in the rooms and the curtains weren't big enough so loads of light woke me up early. To be fair the rooms looked good, but it was the things mentioned that let the place down. Was looking forward to a nice stay in a quirky pub, but unfortunately It was a really disappointed.

We have been here a fair few times, last Sunday was not great. We had a Sunday roast, gravy was watery, cauliflower cheese very crunchy and had an odd cheese sauce. First couple of pints were cold the next were room temperature, I was not offered a fresh pint as the chiller was broke? Barman didn’t really see an issue with the warm peroni. Had to ask for the warm pint to be removed from the bill. The deserts were average, the lemon meringue had runny meringue in the centre. All in all it was overpriced for the standard of meal we had. The service was not great at all. This has left a bad taste for us, don’t think we will be back anytime soon. Shame as this was one of our favourite places for roasts.

Great little inn with a lovely country vibe. The food was fantastic & great value for money. Amazing steak for £19.50 & I mean amazing, would have happily paid £35 for the steak. Unique batter on the fish & chips which tasted gorgeous & the fish was so fresh. Rooms are great, Nespresso machine which makes amazing coffee, dyson fan, nice character in the room & all the standard amenities. Definitely will be coming back. Thank you to Emma & Harvey for making my time here great,

We really enjoy going for food! Taste great and great staff! We go most Sunday’s for a roast. The only thing I would say is sides can be expensive! My son only eats Yorkshire puddings (fussy eater) and it costs me £5 just for 2 ! I’m never willing to get anymore as they should be at least £1 each! £2.50 for one Yorkshire is a bit expensive! Specially when they cock in batch and would be at least 25p plussss

Several coworkers & I traveled to Curridge for business and stayed at the Bunk Inn (10 - 15 SEP 2023). This location was recommended to us by some of our compatriots who'd been there previously. On my trip, none of my coworkers had EVER been to England before and certainly hadn't stayed in anyplace like this - what a great experience! We absolutely loved the whole place: the wonderfully friendly staff (to include the folks in the Kitchen ); great locally-sourced Food & corresopndingly local Beer; clean & quaint Rooms; etc. Thanks for the memories! All in all, I/we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I shall certainly do so if I am fortunate to visit the area again in the future. Keep up the great work and best wishes for continued success. V/R JJCS "SP" "Scooby" Tampa, FLA, USA
