After reading the good reviews we expected good things but left disappointed. After ordering our food it arrived extremely quickly, under ten minutes! The vegan pizza was chewy with an overpowering taste of tomotoe purre. The pasta was lacking in flavour , lukewarm and undercooked.Everything seemed rushed from the food to the service.

On Christmas eve we (a party of 7) were turned away from 2 other restaurants despite having bookings. On a whim we tried Bella Italia they accommodated us happily and fit us in even without a booking on a busy night. They made our Christmas eve brilliant the staff are amazing and the food was delicious! They really went above and beyond for us! Thank you!!

Slava was great, on the ball and friendly. Nice that she didn't assume my husband was paying (like most places do) and put the card machine in the middle! Lovely food and speedy service!

We waited 45 minutes for our food when the restaurant was half empty. We watched everyone being served before us, even those who arrived after us. We had to ask the dessert for takeaway, which took another 10 minutes to put some chopped fruits in a bowl. We'we been offered some free desserts as a compensation but never arrived. Food quality is average, so no point to return.

We wanted to treat our little one with a dinner after a movie. If we would have been warned by the door that there is a 45 minutes waiting time we wouldn't be bothered to go in. But probably this wasn't the reason we waited for our food so long since the restaurant was half empty. We ended up asking our little one's pudding for take away which again took 10 minutes to put some fruits in a bowl. Meanwhile we've been offered some dessers as a form of compensation but those never has arrived. Probably we should wait for them for another 45 minutes? We won't know. Food quality is average, so very unlikely to return...

Service was dreadful. We arrived at 4pm intending to eat before a film at 5:40 - should have been plenty of time but we only just made it and that was by skipping part of the meal. Our main course came well over an hour after we got there and we had to ask three times where our food was. There were only 4 tables occupied when we got there so not sure what the problem was. Food was ok. The only reason this gets 2 instead of 1 star is that I think the waitress was doing her best and she served with a smile. We won't be returning here as there are plenty of other options.

With the exception of one waitress, the staff were unprofessional. Ordered food just to be told half an hour later than the gas has gone and there was NO FOOD! Tables in this restaurant are way too high.

Really nice food, a lovely interior, and our meal was made special by our server Elisha, she really was great and very efficient and a credit to Bella Italia.

Luckily we had booked - we saw many people turned away without reservations even though the restaurant was only half full - lack of wait staff we were told. We must start by saying that a very enjoyable meal was made special by the delightful waitress, Stephanie, who was friendly, helpful and totally professional. The food - as usual in our experience - was excellent with decent portions. The one disappointment was the Goat Cheese Crostini - an optional addition to my Italian salad. The cost of £2 for a small piece of crispy bread with some small pieces of goat cheese on top was definitely a waste of money. We are having to get used to the much higher prices for eating out since the pandemic, but I do not like feeling short-changed..... We will return, of course.
