Just so good!

Quite literally the most incredible little restaurant nestled in the heart of Bedminster. Beautiful atmosphere, staff are AMAZING! Food is incredible! The most tasty range of dishes. My only criticism (if you can call it that!) For the quality of food and level of service, it is far too cheap!! Such an incredible place! Cannot wait to return and try more specials!

Delicious. Great service, interesting dishes packed with flavour. A great introduction and we’ll be back.

There are set lunches, and then there is the COR set lunch. I visited a few weeks back to celebrate a friends birthday, and we had an absolute treat. We ate:? Savoury canolé, Gorgonzola, decana pear, white balsamic & candied walnuts (£8.9 from the specials, not on the set menu)? Cannellini beans, lemon beurre blanc, smoked caviar, panko? Hereford beef onglet, tropea onion, hazelnut beurre noisette, aged balsamic, gorgonzola? Tarta de Santiago, Amalfi lemon, salted almond creamAt £30 for three courses this certainly isn’t Bristol’s cheapest set lunch but it’s up there as one of its finest, and makes COR a little more affordable for those who may be put off by the a la carte menu prices. Each dish was stunning in its own right but my favourite had to be the beef. I would never usually choose to put Gorgonzola with anything, but I loved the combination both here with the tropea onions (the best!) and as part of the savoury canolé. That’s part of the beauty of a set menu in my mind - you try things you wouldn’t usually and (hopefully) discover you really enjoy!Only my second visit to COR but once again I was blown away, I can absolutely see why they have received the Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand for two consecutive years! Mark Chapman is incredible at what he does. Will be back for sure ✨ (review copied from my IG)Kid-friendliness: Tiny babes would be fine but I wouldn’t choose to take a little one older than four months, purely as it’s better appreciated child free. But it’s personal preference, sure there’d be no issue.

We had the best time and Amy was a delightful host and the non pretentious environment allowed for much fun, cackling and non judgemental scoffing of multiple plates of sensory delight. If you don't know, you should. So go there and they even allow furry sidekicks to join you, no excuses

Had the most delicious dinner at Cor - I went with my friend who can't eat gluten and everyone was so lovely and helpful in helping us navigate the menu to changing dishes so we could share them without the worry of her having to compromise on her gluten intolerance. The onion dish was a particular revelation but each plate was put together with thought and care and just delicious! Thank you so much - will definitely be back.

Such a great place through and through! Great service from Amy! The food was delightful, one of the best we had for a while! Definitely worth going out of your way to have some delicious small plates. Artichokes and scallops were our favourite but everything else was delicious and presented beautifully!

We had all the small plates and a couple of the bigger ones. They were all absolutely delicious.

Second visit to Cor, we love sitting at the bar. Lovely drinks and amazing food! Last night we didn’t have the nicest of welcome from one of the staff members, however everyone else was great.

We celebrated a birthday at COR, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The place is small and cozy, with a glazed shopfront letting in plenty of natural light. The open kitchen adds a nice touch, making you feel closer to the food. The service staff was not only attentive but genuinely wonderful. The seasonal menu at COR allows each main ingredient to take the spotlight, with well-crafted sauces and complementary elements bringing the dishes together. A standout hero for me was the saucier, truly the MVP in orchestrating flavors. Surprisingly, as a meat lover, I found the vegetable dishes to be absolute stars, incredibly tasty. The crispy Jerusalem artichoke was a highlight that left a lasting impression. With such a fantastic first experience, I am eager to return and explore more dishes on the menu. COR has definitely earned a spot on my list for future visits.

I came for dinner yesterday evening with a group of friends for the first time. The place is very cozy and welcoming, probably a bit too dim for eating. We ordered quite a few things to share, to try as much as possible. The quality of food was good. Among everything, the cuttlefish and the Tropea onions were super. Sourdough bread was very good too. All the rest was too rich. Cannellini beans were too acidic and the Catalan stew not great.Service was ok.

Here for Valentine’s Day. Great staff, great food… what ruined it was this being another place that has a “discretionary” service charge added on at 12.5%. This ruined the atmosphere for us so we skipped dessert. I don’t see why this sort of charge is put on when everyone knows that the British mentality is to just accept and pay it rather than feel uncomfortable in asking it to be removed. Particularly when this is a restaurant of such stature that you already know the meal cost is going to be expensive, then why not embed that 12.5% into the menu cost? An increase of a main say at £25 to £31.25 is more likely to be overlooked as this is what is expected from a Michelin guide restaurant, rather than force you into a “tipping” situation like the US. Totally ruined the experience and the magic for us.
