We ate on a Saturday night and restaurant was quite busy when we got there but waiter took our drinks order immediately and explained how the restaurant worked . First visit to the food stations I waited at the carvery section and the staff were all busy behind the scenes that I just got fed up of waiting for someone to serve so moved on to the other sections . Almost over half the dishes were empty so there was very little choice and the food that was there some of it was very very greasy . Had second visit and again waited at the carvery still no service so just moved on and still lots of empty dishes so no where near the choice of food that should of been available. The desserts were the same , plenty of tubs of ice cream but very little of anything else ! I asked a staff member about some cake and he said wait 5 minutes and after 5 minutes he then appeared with 1 gateau !! This restaurant could be so much better , it’s no good advertising all you can eat if over half of the choices are not available, and if it’s down to lack of staff that’s the problem then they need to take fewer bookings at busier times or is this how they make their money ?? Staff were very courteous and polite it was just a shame about the lack of food choices

Very busy buffet restaurant, lots of noisy parties. Seated OK, no need for booking. Waiters helpful and prompt. Selection of food good, plenty of choice, although lamb dishes were more bone and fat than meat. Ok for once in a while experience

Cosmo gave us a wonderful evening in a festive Christmas season. The ambience was resonating at every moment of conversations. The many people present tells of the good offer and menu that must be serving individuals cravings and want of a perfect place for whether a family conversation, night for two, or hanging out with friends. The buffet here gives just everything one could want to have for a dinner. A sizable portion at a time and you will sure have a good time here. I love the mushrooms and seafood that was on the menu. The fruit juice served was nice too.In all, it was a great experience in Bristol!!

This place used to be one of my favourites. What a shame.Since re opening the food quality and selection has changed alot. Most meat on carvery section was dry and no one to serve it. Poor description of different items available. Curry's don't taste authentic any more I could make better at home.Sushi selection was a joke tinned tuna and veg sushi seafood sticks in rice isn't sushi btw.Dish marked as lamb shanks when in fact it was cheep lamb breasts cut into ribs..The tapenyaki bar is a joke. I was cooked squid that was pink before cooking. From working with fish all my life this is a health risk and I binned my squid. Steaks are a joke advertised as sirloin but in fairness at best are cheep tenderised min steaks cut so thin they are an insult to steaks. No chocolate fountain working on the night we visited. All in all a very poor experience and at the price they are asking definitely won't be returning again.Word of warning if one of your party is a student and another is a health care professional you cannot individually use a voucher each. I was told rudely only one voucher per table. This should be amended to 1 voucher per a person as u alienate half the table if not.Very disappointed won't be returning

Went there for our anniversary dinner after reading good reviews…But was very disappointed and left in 15mins as did not want spoil our special occasion..just went to a trusted place!!Dislikes:- Not good Indian food options (not sure of Japanese/thai food as not aware)-Food on the buffet lacked presentation-Many dishes looked like they were cold and not replaced with freshly made hot version-Less options for all courses (compared to local competitors like Zazza Bazar)likes --Ambience was great-Easy online booking

Have been to the Cosmo Norwich before, but found this one in Bristol a total disappointment. It was too busy, not as much selection of food as Norwich and we had to wait for ages for a lot of dishes to be topped up with long queues for the frying of steak etc as you wait.

We came from Swansea because I thought that food will be delicious based on reviews. We are regular customers at Nines Swansea.. Swansea restaurant has such a good selection of dishes, so fresh. We went out of Cosmo Bristol hungry..... We paid for food and tried to find something we would like but unfortunately every dish we tried was awful... Sadly we travelled so far for our New Year's dinner as we had such a good restaurant in Swansea.... Big mistake.... Food seems not fresh at all... Waste of money and time...

An okay ishhh buffet house Bristol, reasonably priced and a vast collection of starters. Specialises in Chinese dishes like prawns, squids, momos, etc.

The food was exceptional, with the best of my 1st time experiences being the sushi as it was my 1st time trying that out. I loved it...The spicy explosions in my mouth will be memorable & I can't wait to visit Cosmo again, sooner or later.

The reason I gave Cosmo four stars because the lack of choice of foods in comparison with other Cosmos. The food is professionally prepared good quality and yummy.

Hmm. Food options are OK but run out quite quickly and not topped up very fast. So you end up wandering around looking for other things to eat. The freshly prepared sea food was good. Its a typical all you can eat place really. Very busy. Kids running round and you do wonder how often fingers touch the food.. not my usual place to eat. We were invited to a birthday meal. It was OK but wouldn't rush back

Staff was friendly, atmosphere is great. My first impression after entering was that I would like to take my partner here, wow its so cool place! However, once I got to the food section/buffet, there was unfortunately a lack of options for me as a vegetarian. There were some veggie dishes but a very small selection. I don't see the point in going back. The desserts are also not of the highest standard, the ice cream was not frozen.

Teppanyaki is the best option here, although they do slightly overcook the squid and prawns, scallops are good. Steak is a little tough.Other good dishes are the Beijing ribs and cumin lamb. Some dishes were over salted way too much like the tandoori chicken pieces.

We had a good time, the grilled prawns and other dishes tasted great, and the vegetarian option was available. Good service.
