Indian Restaurants in Bristol

“We tried the Shadin for the first time yesterday based on it's ratings and we weren't disappointed. Andy and the staff are very welcoming and the food was great. Recommendation from 2 of our group was the tawa dish. It's listed as lamb but they will do chicken on request. I personally had the Jal which was also very good. The prices are very reasonable and you can take your own booze. We will definitely be returning again soon.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp at the entrance for easy access.”

“Absolutely fabulous food and service. Chilli paneer was amazing and the king prawn jalfrezi especially. Came for a birthday meal and they accommodated a table of 10 brilliantly. Would absolutely come back again and very much recommend!”

“10/10 for food and service. Highly recommend this place! What a find and what a pleasant surprise.Me and my mrs, walking through town looking online for the best curry houses in Bristol city centre and 20 feet from us is this place… we couldn’t of been happier. Took a chance by not checking reviews or even the menu. The moment we walked in the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The place was busy and had a real buzz to it. Authentic feeling with a modern touch decor wise. Food was delivered within a decent time frame given how busy it was but we drank most of a gorgeous bottle of Malbec while we waited with popadoms and dips. The food…. Sensational. Sorry but it really was! We’ve visited India 4 times and travelled it for months on 2 of those visits and trust me, the food in this restaurant is THAT GOOD it took us straight back to that wonderfully country within the first bite.Neither of us could fault anything from on the plate ??.Definitely going back when In Bristol next 100%.Thank you to the staff ?? we even had to tell the chefs personally at the end how good it was haha!”

“I had heard good things about this place, so decided to visit with a group of friends. The waiter we had couldn’t do enough for us, spending quite some time explaining dishes and offering suggestions to us. When the food arrived we weren’t disappointed, it was delicious. If you are a fan of Indian food this place is a must.”

“After reading the reviews we booked this restaurant even though it’s not in the city centre. We were not disappointed and definitely worth the walk/bus to get to this gem. The food was excellent and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive. We went for the set menu and couldn’t finish it even though it was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back on our next visit.”

“Visited Bristol for my dads birthday and booked Urban Tandoor after seeing all the amazing TikTok’s! Was worried the vibe wouldn’t live up to what I hoped but it was better than I could have expected! Carlos was our waiter and he went above and beyond and acknowledged my dads bday with a few extra surprises which were much appreciated :). My sister wasn’t sure what to have and Carlos recommended the lamb dish which she was reluctant at to have at first but she said it was the best lamb she has ever had! Thank you guys for making our trip memorable, food was amazing as was a great vibe! 10/10!”

“Simply the Best; Better than All the Other Indian Restaurants in Bristol!!!We have tried most of the Indian Restaurants in this part of North Bristol as well as those within the City Centre. After many years of dining out, we always return to the Jubo Raj. For one simple reason -- We are very particular about our curries and regard this Restaurant as the best in the City!!! I do not recognise the negative description of the Jubo Raj in some other reviews on here. (Perhaps, in this life, we get back what we give out in terms of friendliness??!!!) For many years we have enjoyed the warm and friendly atmosphere and the truly excellent food (what a superb, wide ranging menu!!!) Whether we go in as a couple or a group of six or more, we always have a truly terrific time. In these financially difficult times, the prices are genuine value for money. Best of all, it's a BYO (Bring your Own Wine & Beer). Obviously, that will save a massive amount of money for a party of people.... often halving the total cost of a meal out. Alternatively, the Restaurant has a decent range of beers and wines!!! We brought our own bottles of wine and beer and, without hesitation, the friendly waiter agreed to pop our drinks in their fridge to keep them chilled. Whilst it seems a little unfair to single out particular staff members, since all were friendly and courteous, both Kazi and Manik were particularly excellent!!! On those occasions when we could not manage the portions on our plates, the waiter was delighted to provide us with a container to take home the remainder to enjoy later!!! Just perfect!!!So go on, treat yourself to a superb meal at a fantastic price - in very friendly surroundings!!! As the song says, this place is Simply the BEST, better than ALL the rest!!!Mr. Val”

“This spot is great for casual but traditional Indian food. Loads of other options to choose from the menu apart from the Thali”
