Planned a trip to Bristol and The Pieminister was on my list. Showed up around 730 pm to a half full house and was told no service available... I asked if there was a waiting tim, as I had my mind set on some Pieminister.. but was told they were full up... Disappointing.

I rated the food 3 as we never got to try it! What we saw coming out around us looked delicious. From the moment we arrived the service was bad. We asked the lady serving us if we could have a window seat (mainly to keep our 2y.o old the way and distracted looking out window) "no" came the terse reply "those tables are reserved". 10 mins later someone arrived stating they hadn't booked and were seated at that table. Oh well, maybe a misunderstanding. Drinks were served quickly. However after that we sat there for over an hour waiting, watching tables come in after us, be served, eat their food and pay without any acknowledgement from the servers who must have noticed we'd been there for ages without food. When I asked the lady if we'd been forgotten she said "no we're just busy" no sorry, just rudeness. We had been forgotten as I saw them then hastily chuck the pies on. They promised itd be 3 mins. 10 mins later we asked for the bill for our drinks and left. Not so much as a sorry but a half hearted "your food is ready now" from the lady as we walked out the door. The young lad serving us was pleasant enough but the lady needs to seriously work on her customer service (of which she had none). Waste of over an hour and a pity as the food looked good.

Always great food and friendly service but wise to book as we barely got a table and others were turned away.

Inattentive service, had to ask for anything you wanted like drinks. Sat with dirty plates on the table for 45 mins after finishing food.Service was polite when we did rarely get it. Food was ok, not any different to buying the pie and cooking yourself.Cocktails nothing special, wouldn't return.

Had such a lovely experience in Pieminister this evening, the staff were great. Cocktails were gorgeous! It was busy so great atmosphere, but didn't have to wait too long for our drinks or food. The pies were sublime, as usual! Wouldn't hesitate to come back. Jo, Cam & Jáchur really looked after us despite it being a very busy ❤️ & such good value for money.

Pies looked lovely I was disappointed that there wasn't much chicken in the chicken and mushroom pie. I loved the slaw.

Reasonably priced food well presented. Popular place. Service was slow ? But overall a welcome find in Bristol Town centre .... after finding other restaurants were full.
