Nice pub with reasonably priced food and drinks. It is very bright in there. The food is readonabke. Everyone enjoyed theirs. The curry goat was tasty but mostly bones and not much meat and the T Bone was a bit too charred, but generally very good.

Absolutely fantastic, in every respect. Friendly and efficient barman, the waitress gave us a friendly welcome and served us very professionally. The food was served very quickly and was "piping hot" and tasted excellent. This will be somewhere that we will return to often. Thank you to all at The Anchor.

Went here for Sunday lunch. Food was nice but quite basic. Good value for money. Staff were very friendly. Lots of free parking. Just wanted to add a note to any vegans thinking of visiting - there was a dish on the menu labelled as ‘vegan’ however it was not actually vegan as it came with a Yorkshire pudding containing egg and milk. It would be great if they could label this as ‘vegan option available’ instead to make that clearer. I almost didn’t check and would have ate it! Make sure to ask some questions if you’re visiting, especially if you have an allergy.
