Efficient service but the food jarrs with me and my guest. Not good at all and tastes like it was made from a jar. Seriously poor.

An Excellent meal, very impressed. Very busy place and it’s easy to see why. A top choice for Bristol.

First time here for dinner while visiting Bristol. Food was fabulous, all the dishes were lovely and the masala was one of the best I’ve had (and I’ve had a few!). Atmosphere was lively in a good way and they have screens between the tables which allows for a degree of privacy. Service was spot on too. In short couldn’t fault it and will be returning when we’re next in Bristol.

The food here is outstanding and much better than other Indian restaurants we've tried. I can recommend the biryani. Very nice staff and a lovely ambience. Incredibly busy for a Sunday evening, which says it all!

Found this diamond restaurant when visiting Bristol University. Excellent food, excellent service from James - if this ends up being the next step we will be back (lots). Highly recommend

Great place from second in door. Friendly staff found me a table although I hadn't booked; didn't realise it was so busy though. Perfectly cooked chicken. Relaxed atmosphere and very well priced. Would definitely recommend.

First off I'd like to say that all staff were friendly and personable. The food was below par: Poppadoms served in halves but were ok the sauces with were not appetising at all, especially the mixed salad which was odd. A chicken biryani was attempted to be ordered but informed that it was not served (unusually in my experience) with a vegetable curry but a raita. I asked if it could be swapped with a vegetable curry but the request was refused. A friend suggested a Lamb Dhansak and after enquiring whether it was mild, medium or hot, I was assured by the waiter that it was medium. It was very hot & burnt my tongue for 2 days afterwards. I asked if it could be made milder and it was taken away and was milder. The lamb was very poor quality, chewy and off putting but I managed some of it. The Bombay potato side dish was dry and inedible and I left it. I left most of the rice rice. Whilst waiting for the Dhansak to be made milder, a small mango flavoured 'creamy?' drink was provided to take away the burning sensation from the massively hot sauce. A printed note was also given apologising for the heat. This seems to imply that serving far too hot curries is a not infrequent occurrence. A free pudding was supplied as a good will gesture. I would like to emphasise that the staff were very polite and apologetic. The decor/ambience was good but very dim lighting. I have had many meals of this type but this was the most disappointing one.
