This is my best pub by far and not just locally!Ben is a great pub manager who not only knows his customers but also knows his staff very well.The boot is a very warm welcoming pub that can cater for all types of events/functions and of course the occasional pint.The food is excellent too!Kid-friendliness: Kids are very welcome until late at night when it gets busy. I usually take my kids there.

Nice pub. Very busy on Saturday. Had reserved, table available but right in the middle, fortunately another table became available and upon request we were re-seated to the quieter area.Food quality is very good and great selection of wines and cocktails ( incl non alcoholic ones). Prices ok'ish but very good if you use Tesco vouchers.Tables have cande lights but these are not lit... Had to request several times...

Excellent everything! The best bit was that they accommodate gluten free diets brilliantly! I managed to get a whole roast with gluten free Yorkshire pudding and gravy!! Which is so rare! They are going above and beyond so I really appreciated
The Boot & Slipper never fails to be a lovely meal out. The atmosphere in the restaurant is wonderful, busy without being overly crowded and the staff are always very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had my four year niece with us and when bringing out the food, they made sure to bring hers out alongside the first round of dishes so she wasn’t left waiting for hers - a really small but thoughtful gesture.Our server, Sophie, also heard my sister mention that it was my birthday and so when bringing out my dessert, put some birthday candles in my dessert, which was another lovely touch.All around, it was a wonderful lunch and the menu had something for everyone. Thank you for a lovely lunch, we’ll definitely be back again! :)
