Dinner was overall good. Service was a little slow and younger staff a little casual. restaurant was a little cold. Worth a visit though.

An early festive dinner, with family. The staff were good, though food was a little over cooked. Especially the sprouts ?

Went in a mixed group, 4 who eat meat, 2 pescatarian, 2 vegan. Everybody had an issue. Waited an hour for starters. The balsamic vinegar was 3 drops in a tiny holder and was actually glaze, sweet not acidic. Two dips and it was gone. Humous was cut with something and tasteless. Two tiny bits of hard bread. Asked for more balsamic and it arrived with the next course 35m later. Ribs were out of a packet with a thin watery sauce. The vegan Wellington was a veg slice, NOT a Wellington. Just large strips of steamed carrot/sweet pot. No added flavouring, no base of chopped mushroom etc. Served with more steamed carrots. I ordered roast root veg as a side. And got steamed carrot again. Other's food was mediocre at best. Mentioned the missing root veg to a stoney faced manager who just walked off and never said sorry. Luckily we had a laugh together enjoying the groups company and just wrote off the poor food quality to experience.

Was looking forward to a lovely meal out with friends however the experience was very disappointing. Our starters took 55 mins to come out. The humous, olive and sourdough starter which was advertised as vg) was unappealing. The humous was watery and tasteless, the olives were dry and the butter that came with this was not plant-based and there wasn’t any available. The plant based Wellington was uninspiring being simply layered sliced carrot and sweet potato with a puff pastry slice placed on top served with more boiled carrot and very hard broccoli, green beans and barely warm gravy.

I enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch with my husband and friends last weekend at The Potters Arms. The food, service and pub were excellent, we all enjoyed our first visit and will definitely be back at some point. Would definitely recommend.

We saw an advert for a 3 course meal for 2 for £30 so we gave it ago. The menu was really good they had a traditional menu and an a la cartè The food was really nice and freshly cooked. The staff were friendly and gathered the plates sion after we finished. We didn't feel rushed at all. The pub had a great atmosphere They have lots of things going on in the evenings from comedy evenings and live music. They have a small farm shop on site With lots of outside space for the summer

First visit to this pub. I will definitely be going back. Fabulous community establishment with village store B&B and great ale. It serves breakfast if you fancy popping in. The selection of food and quality is excellent.Just what a village needs.

Haven't been to the Potters Arms for a few years but after seeing a lunch or dinner deal we decided to have lunch and possibly visit with friends one evening. Loved the outside space and sorry we were going in October and had missed sitting outside in the summer. The pub feels welcoming and the lovely young lady showed us to our table in the pub area with a cheery smile. Plenty to choose from on the menu and we ordered the trio of sausages and comfit duck leg with sticky toffee pudding to follow. The food was lovely the mains hot and puddings plentiful, the young ladies serving were brilliant and we've already purchased some more meal deals for a speedy return with friends one evening .

Stayed here again for business as I’ve been before and wanted to come back. The staff are great and the food is exceptional. Please don’t ever stop serving the ribs. Amazing!! The rooms are not perfect but are clean, tidy, and have all what’s needed including free Wi-Fi which works really well. Breakfast food again is very good and I will try to come back again when I’m anywhere near on my travels.

Today was our Thirtieth Wedding Anniversary. We decided that rather than go to anywhere we had been before, we would try somewhere new. My wife found and booked the Potter's Arms.It was out of our area and we decided we could have a little trip out.It was a great choice. On arrival we were met by a young lady named Lauren who showed us to our reserved table. That's when life started to get difficult - what to choose from the menu? There were so many choices it was difficult to decide, but I can assure you that whatever you would have chosen, it would have been cooked to perfection. To start with I had Bubble and Squeak with poached egg and Hollandaise sauce. It was like a breakfast immediately before lunch!I followed that with a Steak and Ale pie, for which they kindly swapped the vegetables for me, leaving me with a main of my making.Full to the brim, I had to ask for dessert to be delayed a while. When I did finally feel able to go for it, it was delicious. I had poached pear in a star anise and red wine sugar syrup. It was a great trip to somewhere we had never been before and it was perfect. Lauren looked after us with a delightful "whatever you want" attitude. We have been, we have seen, we will return.

We were prompted to dine here on the back of a voucher package but everything massively exceeded our expectations. The menu was wide-ranging with some creatively designed dishes and delicious flavours. With a few more decorative twirls it wouldn't have looked out of place on MasterChef!! We are all foodies and not that easily impressed but WOW! The bubble and squeak starter was served with a hollandaise sauce and looked and tasted heavenly. Fishcake starter also yummy. And we all had different mains which were well presented, generously portioned and delicious. The service was up to the standard of the food. Oh and some interesting wines too... Fortunately we all live nearby so this little gem is set to become a regular haunt. Thank you so much to all the team. Alison and friends
