It was the worst food of my life. It was whitewashed and had no flavour whatsoever. If you are sober don’t order it. The food came to us in Chinese so we had to figure out whose dish was whose. I regret not making my own dinner. Packet ramen would have been better.

I was fooled by the high rating, food wasn't good. Chicken in salt & pepper chicken was chewy. There was neither spice or nor flavour, totally bland. Kung Pao chicken tasted sweet as if it was cooked in ketchup.

Exceptional! We have bought takeaway Chinese food from Double8 for several years and as ever, delicious food. Super fresh and excellent portions. Lovely staff. Super friendly and efficient. Wish they accepted card payment as only take cash.

Considering we used Wok Warrior last time and it was basically bin fodder, the food we had last night was fantastic, so flavoursome, plenty of it, and was ready to collect within 15 minutes of ordering. We had an impressive display of tin foil dishes on the table for the eager audience to dive into and apply the simmering portions to their plates. 25 mins later we had 4 food comas in the house. Deleted the aforementioned’s number and 88 are top of the take away favourite list?
Not up to its usual standard. The hot and sour had less meat in it. Less flavour too. The three delicious was flavourless and the mixed meat curry had little sauce and less meat.

Brilliant Chinese. All the dishes I have had are fresh and brilliant I highly recommend the hot and sour soup although some others have chicken, beef, shrimp and veg in it double 8 only put chicken and veg in the soup but has an amazing flavour
