Really warm and welcoming staff who did not mind me spending a while with them while my wife visited the nearby hospital. No pressure and just made to feel really welcome and looked after. Will definitely be returning!

Booked for Sunday lunch as I had been informed it was very good. Unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Service very slow. It took a long time for our drinks order to be taken and a table that was seated after us had their drinks order taken first. Sharing starter ordered came quickly but then service went downhill. Waited a long time for main course. My sons had burgers, which, after leaving the restaurant, they told me had not been very hot, and the roast beef was disappointing, although the Yorkshire puddings were lovely. We then had a long wait for desserts, which even then did not come out all together. The first 2 had been eaten by the time the second 2 had been served and then I had to ask what had happened to the final 1. There seemed to be a sufficient number of waiting staff, so I can only assume there was a shortage of kitchen staff.

Warm and cosy feel, very polite helpful staff and the food was delicious and their Brew Point low alcohol beer was one of the best I've tasted. No issue at all giving 5 stars.

The Bell has recently opened under new management. It has been redecorated and is now warm and inviting. We had an excellent meal and were very impressed with the service. We will return.

The Food was delicious, however I was extremely disappointed to see the portion sizes… I was left feeling hungry after my main course.. I ordered beef roast the Yorkshire pudding was bigger than the actual meal itself.. The meal could of been more substantial for the price being paid!!! Wouldn’t recommend!!!

We booked after looking at the menu on their website but when we were handed the menu at our table it was a lot more limited, with hardly any of the dishes we’d read about there. Nevertheless we both found a starter and a main course that we liked the sound of. The service was incredibly slow, even though our booking was for 6:15 ( the only time available to us when booking) and the restaurant not even half full. As we were waiting for our main course (a long wait) we noticed others had two menus to choose from, and when we queried this we were told there was also a Valentines menu, and asked whether we would like to see it. As we had already ordered and had been waiting an age for the main course to arrive, we declined the offer, but received no apology for the oversight. The restaurant was very cold, so much so that I had to put my coat back on while eating my meal. The food we had was OK but the poor service experienced means it will be a while if we ever return

Wanted a classic Sunday lunch and was wonderfully impressed and satisfied with our experience. Lovely ambiance, service and of course the food was delicious!! Have already booked a return visit.

I came in for some food yesterday with friends and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere of the pub is warm and welcoming, complemented by the lovely staff and the music. I had the brisket which was superb, and everyone else said their dishes were lovely too. A special thanks to both Dylan and Grace, who made our experience comfortable and enjoyable. I will definitely be back soon.

Living so close to this cosy, family friendly pub is perfect! The staff are fantastic and always so helpful. The food and beverage options are varied and delicious. We have eaten here often and have not been disappointed! Highly recommend for all age groups. Dogs are welcome in the bar area which is a huge plus.

Came in for lunch today, and were served by two lovely ladies, Grace and Amelia (I think). The food was spot on. We had mussels and they were phenomenal. It was a pleasure to be served by both of them and we will definitely be back !
