We have recently celebrated a special birthday at The Rising Sun. My children have a variety of food allergies - egg / dairy / nut / sesame. We rang ahead with the order so it was easier to cater for and they did such a fantastic job. The meal the kids had was excellent. Everything was eaten! They even went out of their way to get a vegan dessert ready for them. We had a table of 11 and all our other meals were absolutely excellent quality. The Yorkshire’s were fantastic and beef and horseradish so tasty. Everything was fantastic. Super service and extremely friendly. We will be back! Thank you for a lovely birthday lunch team!!

Rubbish the waiters were throwing tables everywhere and they had rats in their ears but the food was delicious though as it had cow udders and grass clippings in it ?Vegetarian options: i’m a vegetarian and they served me a live peacock and it was delicious then i threw the bones at the bartender then they threw me out the pubDietary restrictions: I don’t drink alcohol and they served me a 7239 pints of beer and wineParking: the car parking is on top of a massive skyscraper in chinaKid-friendliness: i’m going home nowWheelchair accessibility: the only way i could ever be able to afford to pay my mortgage off was if my mom had a car accident and my dad was so scared of the consequences of her death

Lovely countryside pub, great service and food, super friendly host who made us confortable very soon. Local vibes and well curated Christmas decorations. Really good value for money too: if you go on a walk nearby, definitely it deserves a stop. Dog friendly, bonus.

Have been here 3 times recently for food and drink and am so impressed with service, warm welcome, friendliness and everything the new ownership have bought to this pub. Have lived in area for many years and this pub is back to it's best ? Sunday lunch is superb and plenty of choice. What's not to love!

The food is sublime! The atmosphere was great, a nice busy pub but not chaos and the staff are brilliant. Can not recommend this place enough.

Really friendly pub that accommodated me last minute on a Sunday lunch time. Good veggie option for the roast and good beer.

We have new landlords who are doing an amazing job of putting life back into this glorious old pub! Great service and fun events. Have yet to try food but coffee and cake mornings are coming soon ☕?? so I'll definitely be sampling those.
