Beautiful facility and very well maintained!! Parking lot not so well signposted from the street, but everything on site is great and you can easily find your way around! We weren't in the castle, but the gardens around it, the playground and the elephants alone are worth a trip...

I've visited some stunning country estates in England, including Wrest Park and Cliveden House, which are immaculately kept, have expansive views, and where you can easily and happily spend an entire day taking in the sights, but I'm sad to say that our visit to Waddesdon Manor in early June fell very short of the mark.We began at the North Fountain, which we were disappointed to find was dry as a bone. As for the house, I can't speak for the interior as we had no time to visit on this occasion, and although the French Renaissance-style chateau looked impressive from the outside, it was let down by the grounds, which were surprisingly unkempt, to the point of neglect. The parterre was virtually devoid of colour, while the rose garden was untidy, arid and rather sparse. Nowhere was there to be seen the lushness and attentive manicuring one would normally expect of such estates, especially at this time of year. The aviary was also partially closed off with an unmanned crane as its unsightly centrepiece. The entire experience was underwhelming considering the high expectations we had of this National Trust property, and which we had travelled quite a distance to see. It was not worth the ticket price nor the journey. Waddesdon Manor needs to stop looking neglected and have some life injected into it.

Manor is incredible, but the service in the outside coffee bar is awful

Wasn't happy with a lot of rubbish left everywhere. Statue covers, workers mess - all looked a bit rough. If you're going to have it messy like that you shouldn't be open. Also, please sort out your exit gate barrier. I was waiting for 15 minutes for it to open and ended up having to call the manor itself. Embarrassing. If the gate isn't automatic and requires a bod staring at a cctv screen to see when to open the barrier, please make sure said bod is sat at his desk watching the screen and not his phone. People pay to visit this place, I think you sometimes forget that. The exit gate barrier has been an issue twice now in two weeks. SORT IT.

Waddesdon has beautiful grounds and an excellent daffodil display. The highlight of any visit has to be the aviary with the most amazing tropical birds. You must be there when the warden feeds the birds and talks about them. We had a wonderful guide today who gave us such interesting facts about all the birds and answered all our questions. It made our visit very special.

It's very remote, but so incredibly pretty. It almost seems like something out of France. It is possible to get here by bus, but I wouldn't recommend it as the journey is far from easy. If you are a K3G fan, this is really a must-visit place. I would advise in the summer when the manor is fully open. It's got a really good shop, too, worth checking out the wines. Keep an eye out in Waddesdon town/village as well, it's got amazing architecture.

Lovely house food is great but on the dear side for a poor family! Perhaps ? I could Marry Hannah Rothschild $500 Trillion dollars worth! Our condolences to her after Jacob died on 26 February! Stunning buildings and extraordinary decorations fit for a king and queen of Royalty family that we are! Would be lovely to visit the manor gardens and stables again in the spring and Autumn ? summer is nice and my wife loves the winter weather because you can have lovely dinners roasting and delicious desserts Christmas dinner ! But the next important celebration is Easter like Queen Elizabeth celebrating Jesus Christ rising from the dead and eternal life now that is something to celebrate ?❤️ Great selection of cakes and slices for afternoon tea a bit like a high Tea definitely delicious ?! Running around the grounds and gardens with children! I should have come here with mama and Papa when we were children!

Would not recommend going in early March. We were told that the grounds were open. When we actually get in after paying it turns out all the sculptures and lampposts are covered. We then thought we would go and sit down somewhere warm and have a hot drink. Turns out the cafe is outdoors in March! And there was nowhere to sit down and get warm. Also overpriced for what it is at £12.50 for the “grounds”. Aviary was lovely though.

Really enjoy the grounds at Waddesdon Manor, but found the food eateries that cater better for children shut to early.

Loved our visit today (Feb half term). Great weather helped however my girls really enjoyed spending time at The Stables colouring the artwork on the walls and then playing in the woodland park.We had a wander round the grounds and ended up at The Coffee Bar. With a dairy allergic daughter I asked about vegan/milk free options and, while none were available, Mollie rang the kitchen to have a sandwich prepared. Excellent service! Big thanks to Mollie and the kitchen team for going out their way to help. We’ll be back!

Visited for the Christmas lights and to see the house dressed for Christmas.

Waddesdon Manor is beautiful. We visited in Sept. 2023, took a cab to the manor house and the staff at the car park were SO NICE!! They helped us even with getting a taxi back to the train station!! SO NICE!! And the Manor House is beautiful and the guides were also SO NICE!! We took the train from London to Aylesbury and then a taxi to the estate. Really easy. We ate lunch at the little outdoor cafe and really enjoyed ourselves.
