We stopped for lunch from our walk of the Chiltern hills. The pub comprises several clean spacious rooms around a generous central bar. No cask ales were available on arrival but as we were about to leave, the cellarman turned up and brought one pump into operation. Beer was good if not excellent. The menu offered a surprisingly good selection of meals and the meals chosen were again good if not excellent. All in all four stars was a little generous I think. Worth another visit.

Nice area but pub noting special. Go to one of the other pubs locally. This doesn't match the other locals for food or ambience. Sunday lunch was expensive for what was produced and service poor. Beef was well done - when asked for pink, the rest of the roast was cold. Quite grim. Second time the roast here has been poor - will avoid in future.

Well worth travelling to if you are not local. The best Sunday lunch we've had for years. The quality of the food was excellent, (particularly the beef) and the service was friendly and attentive.

We had a fabulous Christmas lunch for 15 at the pub, beautiful surroundings, relaxed atmosphere meant we 'lunched' for approximately 8 hours!! Thank you!

Greeted with a roaring open fire, we had booked a table for drinks and nibbles. Despite the kitchen being closed we were able to order starters to share. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent!

Had a quite pleasant Sunday lunch while in Seer Green recently. The pub is in a lovely area and very traditional looking from the outside. There is limited parking but plenty on street parking if it's full. Seated straight away and offered the menus and some water. Nice choice of starters so opted for the salmon & crab fishcake which was quite nice but still a little cold in the middle and could have been cooked for another minute or so. The duck liver pâté was excellent, full of flavor , smooth and very very tasty served with cranberry sauce and some bread. Main course of roast beef was okay, the beef was cooked as requested and served with some lovely red cabbage and cauliflower cheese , the roast potatoes and parsnip were only lukewarm and the Yorkshire cold but edible. It could have been a lot better if everything was hot. Wine list was good and not too expensive. An unusual Pinot Noir from Romania hit the spot and went down very well . Service was pretty good, attentive and friendly.

Would recommend chicken thai green curry at lunchtime and the sharing nachos. Food delicious, filling and served hot. Staff friendly too.

The lunchtime menu is quite limited and the lite bites quite expensive. Having said that I enjoyed my fishcake (£8.95) and the did rustle up a side salad for me.
Really good outside area with lots of room & plenty of seating. We didn't have food but the menu looked good.

We booked a private reception at the Three Horseshoes and couldn’t recommend enough. In the run up to the day Ellie was so helpful and accommodating with all of my questions and wishes. Everything on the day ran really smoothly thanks to all the staff and their hard work. Thanks again for hosting us.

Only one bitter on offer, I ordered Brixham battered cod and chips which took 45 minutes between ordering and receiving. When it arrived it was more a R. Misbourne minnow in batter. Not impressed at all.
