I have taken some time to consider writing this review following a horrible experience at the Three Trees for Xmas Day lunch but have been left with no choice. I have never seen a pub in such a state of disarray with very hungry and angry customers waiting to be seated and served their Xmas lunch for hours on end. The service we received from the point we walked in the door to when we left was atrocious with no management in sight to resolve the situation which was clearly out of control long before we arrived. There were no chefs to cook the lunch, no staff to serve the lunch and no-one in charge to deal with the large number of angry and upset customers who had all paid £75 for the pleasure of sitting in a packed pub with no food and drinks taking an eternity to be served. To say the atmosphere was toxic is putting it mildly. Once it became clear things were only going to get worse we decided to vote with our feet with a number of other diners and leave on the assurance from the most senior member of staff we could find, that full refunds would be provided. Over 3 weeks later and following numerous emails and phone calls not returned, primarily by the apparent 'Regional Manager' by the name of Chris Gibbs, there has been no refund or any form of communication when this will be provided. The disgraceful treatment of previously loyal customers like us to the Three Trees is something I have never experienced before. To still be waiting over 3 weeks later for any form of apology and the promised refund is simply unacceptable from any establishment where customer service should be the number one priority. Avoid at all costs...they simply do not deserve your custom...

Came in for dinner, great food, great service and a great ambiance!! Team were really helpful with the wifes dietry requirements also, nothing was too much trouble. Fully recommend and will certainly be returning with friends.

The food was just ok. The place was freezing cold. I was chilled to my bones. The person who served us was brilliant she couldn't do enough to help. Next time I go I'm going to ask for the lunch menu and have an omelette they're great.

I came here for lunch over Christmas with some friends from work and I can’t believe I’ve never been here before!! The menu was vast and something for everyone (1 of us is vegan and another GF), we were amazed at how much choice. We went for starters, mains and dessert and honestly each course was better than the next. I went for the caramel chicken, then a pie and apple crumble to finish. Wow! It was amazing. Above all, it was the service that stood out to us… everyone was SO welcoming, one of the kitchen team (I think) walked past us and even said hello, the manager Viki was so helpful and Louise our waitress was just brilliant… they told us there is musical bingo and we can’t wait to go!!!

I’ve been to The Three Trees a few times in the past for their a la Carte menu however have kept meaning to try the Sunday Carvery as I always hear such raving reviews. Well I was not disappointed!! There were 8 of us and we all agreed it was the best meal we’ve had in years. The portions were generous. Meat perfect and the cauliflower cheese was amazing. You can tell the quality is great because of how well it kept on the carvery. Could not fault it. Service was brilliant too! We were served by Louise who remembered everything off the top of her head and was just a delight. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return!!

Good value for money. It is a good carvery that offers a good choice of alternatives if carvery not for you. It's not fancy it's purely good homely food with friendly helpful staff, nice surroundings. Children's menu has choices and grandchildren enjoyed the foodVegetarian options: I had the mushroom starter which was tasty followed by vegetarian lasagne which had good depth of flavour and taste

12 of us turned up for Christmas dinner including children. Pub in total chaos. We were not shown to our table therefore we had to find it ourselves. We had to get our own drinks from the bar. We had 3 hungry children that were very distressed. This should of been a lovely relaxed experience, especially paying £75 per head. We ended up leaving as we couldn't take the stress any longer. Most people were moaning and walking out after waiting several hours for food. The staff acknowledged how bad things were and offered a full refund, however we are still waiting. They will not return my calls or emails. Absolutely shocking service. I will never return again

Place is very nice inside but the food was a bit of a disappointment, my wife's steak was £18 pound-ish and was very very small with only 14 chips one mushroom and half a tomato I wonder what happened to the other half! Was not worth the money at all!My dinner was ok but one of the burgers was very undercooked, would I go again probably not,Not much value for money here

This was a great spot for a family lunch - great atmosphere, and attentive and welcoming hosts. Mains were delicious too. Thank you for looking after us all so well.

My son took my elderly parents for dinner at Three Trees last night and had a great experience with good food and particularly good service. Both parents are disabled but staff recognised them from previous visits and helped them get seated quickly and made them all feel at home. We will return.

Myself and my family came for Christmas day for the first time. We waited 2 hours just for our pre ordered starters, never had our mains or desert as we were fed up with waiting! We were sat at our table for 1.5 hours to which no one even came to our table or offered any service what so ever. It was meant to be an enjoyable day but it was ruined. I have sent two emails of complaint as advised, yet I have had no response what so ever. Customer service is shocking and I will not be returning on recommending again.

Christmas day dinner nightmare..I think it a classic case of cram them in...late and slow service, long queues for food, over half an hour between courses. Starters poor, dessert nothing like description..staff were doing their best but clearly £ signs had come first when taking bookings, no care for staff or customers.Final insult 10% service charge added to everything..including prepaid for meal...no mention of this anywhere, not on menu, not on ordering. We queried this the following day and it was refunded.Very disappointed as on a normal day it's a great place for lunch. Finally, I wonder what the Three Trees maximum capacity is for fire regulations, with so many young, elderly and disabled in attendance this number was surely exceeded and unmanageable if a fire occured..if there isn't one now, it should be considered.Totally spoiled our Christmas Day.
