I've had a great time at Denham Grove Hotel! We had an excellent service and the staff was lovely. The place was nice and quiet and I've enjoyed my time there. Thank you very much, will see you again.

We visited the Durham Grove Hotel on 7th October 2023 for a one night stay with a 3 course evening meal, breakfast, and access to the leisure facilities. This hotel is completely run down and tired in most of its areas. Staff are not bothered by any complaints or any issues, I was told this by the night manager (I believe his name was SAB). He did say he was sorry that we felt this way and suggested we express our views on social media as it wasn't his problem (CHARMING). The room is very poorly finished. We did have fresh bedding and towels, but I very much doubt the room was cleaned before we arrived. Found a large dead spider in the corner of the room, another dead spider on the ceiling, and a dead bug on the windowsill. Brown stains/marks on the ceiling. We also noticed empty beer bottles and other rubbish outside our window. Unsure how regularly the grounds are checked? Went to the leisure area, which was GRIM. Sauna not working and extremely dirty. Jacuzzi not working and again, extremely dirty. The pool area hasn't been cleaned for a very long time, showers full of limescale and rust, which did not work. When we went for dinner, we waited quite a while, only to be disappointed. We were led to a room separate to the comfortable bar area. It would appear we were sat here due to having a buyagift voucher. The menu was extremely basic and the food bland and tasteless. We ordered a dessert of chocolate brownie with ice cream, surely you can't go wrong with that! We waited 45 to 50 minutes for our dessert, in that time we had been ignored by waiting staff so I went to the bar to ask what had happened with our desserts. The lady at the bar was extremely apologetic and chased up with the kitchen straightaway. The chef then brought out the desserts and apologised on behalf of the waiting staff. To summarise, I would strongly recommend you avoid at all costs.

My wife and used our Red Letter Day vouchers to stay at Denham Grove for 1 night plus dinner for my 55th birthday and to celebrate our early retirement. The hotel is deceptively large and very well equipped with a pool, gym, etc., and set is in nice grounds (although the useable area is a fraction of what we expected). Most of the staff are very friendly, particularly the trainee on Reception. Our room was nice but quite small, a bit worn in places and there were several dead flies in the light fitting. There were no biscuits or hot chocolate and the shower gel and shampoo were rationed. However our biggest and most serious concern was dinner! We were expected to have dinner in a dark, dingy bar area where they had dressed only one out of the several tables 'especially for us'. There were several men standing watching a large screen TV rather loudly while they became progressively drunk. They seriously expected us to be the only people having a meal in a rowdy bar with everyone gaping at us! The rather rude young woman behind the bar made a point of saying we could only choose from the lesser 'Voucher' menu. I came very close to losing my temper but I instead asked if we could have dinner in one of the glass pods in the grounds. The excellent waiter Vivek found out for us and informed us it would cost an extra £40 which we paid. We ended up having a lovely romantic dinner in the pod with Vivek and another young waiter taking care of all our needs. People have red letter days for special occasions and I can't understand why they would expect anyone to enjoy dinner in that bar. We had asked at Reception if we could use the main restaurant instead but we were told "no" because it wasn't open although we observed people in there (probably for an event). We complained at Reception in the morning but they said that dinner in the bar was their policy for Red Letter Day customers. This is appalling customer service and we will not be returning to this hotel.

Many thanks to Rayhan and Jacob at the hotel. he ensured that whilst i was working in the bar area we had all we needed to make the stay enjoyable. Nothing was to much trouble even down to getting tea and coffee for us.

Running a two day course can be difficult if the facilities don’t support you. The facilities here are perfect, big spacious rooms, good IT but most importantly the staff can’t do enough to help you, we were looked after by Rayhan and he was brilliant- nothing was too much trouble, he was friendly, professional and a credit to the hotel. Can’t thank you enough!

Very friendly stuff, overall facilities were very clean. Beds are very comfortable. The location is quite secluded however in lovely and green area. Didn't use the swimming pool but it looks great and well maintained

We had our wedding here on 17th June 2023. During the last few months of planning the wedding coordinator left without any communication to those that had weddings coming up and left the hotel with a lot of questions and frustrated brides which Guala the hotel manager dealt with amazingly! He not only eased all of out concerns but assured us he would look after our special day and he certainly delivered! From the moment we all arrived they made us and our guests feel special, there wasn't anything that was too much trouble. Our wedding ceremony was perfect and the team at Denham Grove helped bring my dream to life, from making sure my missing mother in law didn't miss the ceremony or guiding my little flower girls in the right direction they made sure it all went to plan. The whole day was just amazing and i would reccomend the venue to any couple looking for the perfect setting. I would like to thank all of the staff but especially the managers Guala and Jacob for all of your hard work. Mr & Mrs R

Another great stay. 2nd visit here as a base for Harry potter studios in a junior suite (2ad & 3ch). Room very comfortable, had everything we needed for an overnight stop. Breakfast good, could've been a tad warmer but we enjoyed it all the same. Would happily stay again. Pool was an added bonus.

All staff very helpful and friendly. No milk in the room for tea and coffee but we were given some as soon as I asked in reception. Dirty marks on the wall by the beds so could have been cleaner. Disappointed the jacuzzi was out of order as I couldn't use the pool, so was hoping to relax in there instead. Looks like it's not worked for a long time so they should remove this from the hotel description of no intentions of fixing.

I initially booked an afternoon tea for 2 adults and wanted to include 2 children. Since there was no online option for children, I called and was advised to book for 4 people, mentioning the 2 children in the comments. I was assured the children's attendance would be free. However, upon receiving the bill, I was charged for the 2 children. I spoke to the manager (Jacob Kaleem) explaining that the initial worker had assured me of their free attendance. Unfortunately, the manager claimed it was a mistake and children aren't free. This was unexpected, as I wouldn't have booked for children, knowing they eat minimally. I didn't even order drinks, assuming they weren't covered. I asked where their food was, and was told a couple of extra sandwiches were added. The manager seemed indifferent and would only consider a refund if the worker admitted to the mistake. Despite my follow-ups, I haven't received any response, which is entirely unacceptable. Clear charges on their website could prevent such issues. Paying £40 for 2 non-eating children under 5 is quite shocking. The manager's unhelpful attitude and blame-shifting ruined the experience. I can't recommend this hotel or restaurant due to this frustrating ordeal.

Was at the hotel with my family as my sister wanted the family together for her birthday. We decided to come for the pods by CLAYOVEN experience. Must say the welcome and hospitality the staff showed was second to none. Mai at the reception was very welcoming. Maddy and vivek in the lounge were also very welcoming and helpful. We were shown to the pods by Alisha and Rahul were very attentive. The food was awesome and the service from all F.O.H staff was amazing. A big thank you to Chef's Kedar, Prem, Surinder and om prakash for the amazing food ? ? ??. Will definitely be back. Thank you once again

Great welcome from very friendly and professional receptionist Mia with an easy check in for 4 families. Great rooms with very comfortable beds and great showers, clean and comfortable. Kids very happy with the pool. Had dinner in a Pod which was a fabulous experience and the food by Clay was exceptional- amazing flavours & incredibly delicious. Breakfast was probably the only area requiring improvement- we only fed the kids but I tried a bite of a very Luke warm greasy hash brown and the mushrooms were cold. Overall a great couple of days away

I went to view the Denham Grange Hotel earlier this month with view to holding my civil partnership there next year. It was an amazing experience and a stunning location. Greeted by a very professional receptionist who was extremely kind and directed me to the lounge. I was then greeted by Rayhan, the Conference Supervisor, who showed true professionalism and kindness and organised probably the best capaccino coffee ever. He is a consumate professional. I then was given a tour of the hotel by Mr. Vivek, who was amazing, taking his time to show me all I needed. The bedrooms I found to be stunning as well as the conference centre. I also spoke with a gentleman called Jacob, he answered all my questions very politely and showed excellent customer service skills. I can't think of a better place to either stay or to have a function. Stunning in every way, and amazing service all round
