“We’ve been recommended South Hill by a number of different people both for fish and chips and for Chinese. Today we placed a very large order of mostly Chinese food over the phone for my father in law’s birthday lunch. They had it all ready in good time, and the food has been utterly delicious. The fried options were crispy, tasty and not at all greasy, and the sauced options were delicate and fresh. The king prawns in ginger and prawn toast were exceptionally good.
Because these guys only take cash, we haven’t generally thought to order here; they are one of only a small number of Chinese takeaways that are open at lunchtimes. But it’s head and shoulders above our other options, so in spite of having to stop at a cash machine on the way, I feel these folks will become our top choice going forwards ?”
