We went here for the elf isolation escape room today!Fantastic experience,Robin our games master(who we’ve had previously)was really friendly!Such an inventive escape room,so fun and excellent! Also went to the works restaurant downstairs, fabulous experience, great music all of which were the very best Christmas songs.Lovely atmosphere, decor and Christmas decs! The service was fantastic, polite waitresses who was very accommodating when I decided I wanted to change my order at the last minute!Quick service too. They gave us a nice pitcher of water too.I had the after eight pancake,it was absolutely fantastic and tasted delicious!Such an inventive idea for a pancake. It has an option of a gluten free base as well as waffles, toast and some ice creams. The after eight pancake was fantastic, loved the after eight mint stuck on the top.The sauce and sprinkles tasted delicious(they put loads on there and I was trying to scoop each one after I finished the dish) I couldn’t get every sprinkle. The pancakes themself were very nice too same as the ice cream.I also loved the candy cane stuck on the top too, tasted delicious.A nice portion size and certainly beautifully presented!Hope to come back at Easter to try their Easter escape room.Would highly recommend

I ordered a delivery and they forgot to put in one of the waffles, this is not the first time it has happened. I called them to make them aware and they tried to blame the delivery company, it was the restaurant who makes and packs the food not the delivery company. I was told to order again and they will throw in some freebies, not actually free as I have paid once and not received the item so would be paying double. If you are eating in I would recommend, I do not recommend ordering from them for a delivery.

Great ice cream, sorbet and frozen yoghurt. Can’t recommend this place enough. Once you’ve tried it you will be returning. Great service and atmosphere too ?

Great menu with a great selection for vegans! The gentleman who served us was knowledgeable about the menu but also chatted to us about cameras. This service was what I look for, a nice chat and good food. All four of us enjoyed our puddings and felt the prices were very reasonable.

We came to the works today as we booked the escape room and a package with the works for my daughters birthday. We had such a great time. All staff were so friendly and accommodating to different dietary needs. The staff were excellent from the get go making sure we had seating, taking the children to the escape room, talking to my two children who didn't go I to the escape room and accomodating two adults and two children whilst we waited for the party to finish the escape room. They helped assist with the birthday cake we had brought, keeping it out of view till we needed it. I have to say it was a great overall experience for all that attended and stress free as everything for the party was taken care off. I will definitely be recommending both the escape room and the works and will look at booking party's for my other children on their birthdays also. Also if you just wanted the works as I say the customer service is excellent ?.

Usual overpriced cafe with tiny portions of food, thing that got me was the service charge on the bill, sorry but your food is already overpriced for you to then go stick a discreet service charge on top. Unfortunately I had already paid the service charge and left a tip without realising they charge service charge but this has because popular in the UK now they are getting greedy. I refuse to pay service charge because I’m already paying you for a service in the first place so there is no excuse for you to go and stick another service on my bill. For this reason I refuse to eat at places who charge service charge. Won’t be going back

I was blown away by the incredible menu - everything sounded so tasty and I was spoilt for choice. I ended up choosing the most amazing waffle which was clearly made from scratch with very generous amounts of toppings/filling. Presentation was beautiful too! I was also impressed by the unique ice cream flavours on offer, and if I wasn't so full I would've tried one of those too. Our waitress could've been a little more attentive. With 5 of us sat at the table, we only received 4 glasses with our jug of water, and we were also given an odd combination of cutlery which meant I ended up eating my ice cream with a fork. This didn't detract from the experience however as the friendly waitress brought us what we needed upon request. I can't wait until I'm back in the area so that I can have another delicious dessertKid-friendliness: A children's menu with activities on the back was provided, along with a mug of crayons to keep the younger ones busy while waiting for their desserts. We ordered an additional scoop of plain ice cream for a toddler which came with a wafer biscuit on top which the waitress said she added as she thought the little one might like it

Sausage bap , looked not a bad set up , no sugar in any cups or on the tables at 1157am , bit unable to comprehend why is there an incapable lack of common sense unstable was the mind , of those unable to think it might not be a thing? Sausage bap arrived quickly, which was sweet, but very chewey like I was eating a rubber dog sweet , think it was heated up in the microwave, pity , not a treat. No sauce either on any table , had to ask why? Again unable to understand, why offer if can't cover the basics meal , and basic etticate as to why we use a café not a coffee shop . I'll buy brekkie else where now so off you pop . ☺️

We went to the escape room package for a work day out. It was a really fun experience with well-designed themes and the staff were lovely. The ice cream there is incredible!

I recently spent an afternoon at The Works for their escape room, lunch and ice cream. The escape room was brilliant for team building, the lunch delicious with such a varied menu to choose from and the ice cream was amazing (the white chocolate flavour was a personal favourite). The staff were also excellent and went above and beyond for our group. I would definitely visit The Works again!
