Come in to watch the rugby final with a couple of mates south africa vs new Zealand. The sportsmanship around the pub was exciting and tense while the game was going on at times cheering with happiness. The staff on that night I could not fault. We also discided to stay to watch the fight. The staff were very kind and let us first enjoy the rugby and watch the cup being lifted by South africa. Once that had finished the bar team changed to the fight it was nice to see everyone enjoying themselves. Bar staff were amazing. Can't fault them. 10/10

We went to watch the rugby it has an exciting atmosphere and was very busy. The staff were friendly and the turn around was smooth and just flowed just in time for the boxing match to start with very little if any disruption to the customers and atmosphere.

Food is below average, prices are ok but portions are small and low quality ingredients. The fish finger roll was 1 fish finger and the roll was so chewy as it had been microwaved. Everywhere on the tables it advertised to use the QR code to order so we did that even though there was no'one waiting at the bar but it was easier with children to remain at the table. However, we ordered 2 adult meals with drinks yet the kids menu wasn't working on the app so we went to the bar for those. The adult mains arrived but still no sign of drinks for half an hour so went to the bar to ask for drinks and they said they're not doing the drinks due to lack of staff. Well then don't offer online ordering or at least tell the food runner to let us know we have to go and ask the bar staff of which there were 2 of to make our drinks. It's very disorganised and not a pleasant visit. The only thing this place is good for is watching sport on TV.

My first visit to Yates Wycombe was to watch the rugby final. You have sufficient room and screens around, that's a 5star. Your food was tasty and freshly made, I will give you a 5star, however, felt quiet dismissed by staff members. I am giving the service a 2star for last night's experience, only because, although SA rugby boys won the world cup, I honestly didn't think it was necessary for the TV channels to be changed as soon as the final whistle was blown. You would have certainly not done that if the tables were turned and New Zealand won. I kindly respect that the TV's were to show the boxing match following the rugby game, but that started atleast 30min after the rugby match ended. You could have given us that moment to bask in the excitement. There were different groups of people who supported different teams and it was a delight seeing NZ supporters acknowledging and giving high-fives to the SA supporters in the spirit of the game. But YATES you robbed us from witnessing our Boys lifting the cup and celebrating with them, just for mere football highlights, not even a match. Sportsmanship is about comraderie and respect!Extremely Disappointed‼️
Popped in for lunch with my family and had a lovely meal. The guys behind the bar made us aware of all the great deals on and saved us money. The football was on and the atmosphere was amazing! Friendly and attentive

when my steak arrived I could immediately see that something was not right. This was a thick cut of meat that looked dry and over cooked.I complained to the staff she said she was pregnant ! But this no excuse i paid 50 pounds for 2 steak meals ! She was very rude and dismissive she tried to convince me and told me" but this is very well done u asked for this ! " Yes i did but still "well"cooked steak shud still be ateable. It looked like it was dumbed on the plate for that price u expect it to be a little bit seasoned. I felt like the waitress and the person who cooked the steak were ganging up on me and being very rude ! And argumentive not even an aplogy i felt rather intimidated. Is this how the staff treat their paying customers ? There was also dirty plates around us broken glass which i very nearly slipped on.Spoke to the "arrogent manager neil " about my complaint and explained his staff were rude and their digusting service and he said he was happy not take this further and that i was only looking for a refund and that your "friend" said everything was ok but i was sick after being to this place so not everything is ok ! I wont be letting this go ! I mean question the the manager if you paid for steak and couldnt eat it for reasons said above wouldnt u want a refund ???

Nice big building. Food is great. Chef came out to ask if we had a nice meal and it was lovely. The manager was very kind and helpful helpful. The pub was very clean. The service was very speedy. The atmosphere was very good for the time of day. Prices very cheap. Very nice music. People in the pub very happy and friendly. Bar was beautiful on the back and very clean my husband also left a review.

Love going here for a full English breaky. Great tasting and an absolute bargain. The current chef there is amazing. She makes lovely food and has been a delight every time ive gone in. She gives the place that personal touch that keeps you going back.
