Celebration family meal November 18th 2023. 4 people. Mixed grill; egg was seared underneath and raw on top, steak was tough and uneatable. Christmas meal; turkey was lukewarm, vegetables cold and largely uncooked. Other two dishes had similar issues. One of the party was feeling ill and needed to leave so resolving by negotiating wasn't possible, but I informed the waitress of the issues when paying. Service was very thin, too few staff.For the last two years we have been frequent customers of the Barn, and been addressed as "valued customers " by Beefeater.Complaint by website took a long time for a disdainful response, which consisted of "management speak" explanations of their training system and a demand that I fill in a form giving the information already held. There was no offer of redress , and I still wait for a response to my comments.

Michelle is always amazing, she is so attentive so great with the kids. We are regulars in here and my kids know her by name and love her. Thanks for always give us a great experience when coming in for breakfast and dinner :)

Couple of minutes later a cocktail turned up... Which was the wrong one. The correct drinks did turn up a few minutes later but had taken about 40 minutes in all and the bar wasn't even that busy

Food was very lacklustre, some of the steak was inedible and sausages raw inside. Doom bar thankfully good and at the right temperature. This used to be the place for good food but sadly those days are gone. Service was attentive however seems to be not enough waiting staff working as those there seemed stretched thin.If you need the loo, try and hold it. The bogs (male) were full of pee gas and the floor sticky. Not nice at all.Doubtful I'd return.

We visited the barn for a quick family meal in between seeing Santa and the land of lights. We've been to quite a few beefeaters (mostly around London) and this one was by far THE BEST! Lovely lady who looked after us, Georgia, was amazing and is an absolute credit to this restaurant/pub. All 3 kids were able to choose a pressie from under the Christmas tree and food and drinks were super tasty! Can't fault it at all! Thank you Georgia and the team for a great experience!

Pretty good over, We enjoyed the food although it was a bit pricey the offer made up for it, and it was far far better than the previous beefeater we went to. Service was a bit more attentive too.

I Arrived at Milton Keynes Xscape premier in after a morning at work and a 4 hour drive absolutely starving! I hadn’t booked ahead of time as I’d been busy but Michelle managed to seat me in a quiet area near the bar, perfect after the day I’d had. After taking my order Michelle couldn’t do enough for me despite how busy the restaurant area was being booked up I wasn’t ever left waiting for anything! As well as being extremely helpful and accommodating she was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for anyone who walked through the doors! Michelle you are a credit to this venue and you’ve made my first night here a pleasant experience! Thank you very much!

Went out for a Christmas meal with some friends late November. The restaurant wasn't busy, so staff were putting up the Christmas decorations.The table was dirty. We had to wait a long time for food. When it did arrive it was cold so we had to send it back. The vegetables and potatoes were inedible. All in all, not a very pleasant experience.
Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the manager at this location. Me and my partner came in for breakfast with our son, we were made to wait until the manager had finished her conversation before being advised that 'no tables were available'.When I returned to clarify (as there were spare tables dotted around) I was then advised rudely that there was a large party due in 2 hours and the restaurant didn't have the staff to serve us.I queried further with the 'manager' who was then extremely dismissive, even going as far as attempting to walk away from the conversation, to continue a conversation with her colleague. She accused me of trying to bully her which was not the case at all as I wasn't aggressive and hadn't raised my voice and actively tried to de-escalate the situation.Really disappointed as had heard good things about the food but was unable to enjoy the experience due to the severe lack of professionalism from the staff and the downright rude behaviour.Manager in question would benefit greatly from some customer service and / or sensitivity training however in my opinion she shouldn't be in a management position at all if she doesn't know how or understand how to deal with customers.More than happy to speak to Beefeater representative for more information and to provide a name of the staff member.

Fantastic service with great food. I have been twice recently, service and friendliness of staff is always lovely. All the staff are great, including Veronica, Dan, Helen and Michelle who all looked after us recently . The staff always make it such a pleasure. Thank you.

We had a wonderful meal. We have been going to the barn for years. Our waitress Georgia was very friendly and made sure we were well looked after. Would definitely recommend The Barn.

Would leave 15 stars if we could! We love the Barn, they just served 11 of us so perfectly. All the food came out at the same time, all beautifully cooked and best of all Michelle was lovely as always, Milton Keynes number 1 waitress ♡ thank you so much Michelle and also Dan and Adele, we will be back again very soon!
