Stacey, is genuinely a really nice person, her and her fella are brilliant hosts. We popped in back to back on a Wednesday and Thursday night, drinks the first night were lovely and cosy listening to music. The second night we had food, I had the chicken pie which was crammed full, absolutely delicious and very filling, my wife and mother in law had the monstrous mozzarella sticks, that were deliciously crispy and they said the sauce was lovely with it. We took my son who is 3 and he had garlic bread pillows that were a great portion. Stacey also gave him a portion of ice cream which he loved. Also she was attentive bringing him a big box of toys which he loved playing with. We cannot wait to come back and visit again. Keep up the great work ??

Lunch food very poor - both main course and pudding. Very long wait for both

Very disappointing lunch. My friend ordered a prawn sandwich with tiger bread. The bread was hard and stale and they used the crust as one of the slices. She had to leave the bread

Two weeks to Xmas - dinner menu basically consists of chips, lettuce leaves (no salad) and a meat (bangers, steak, chicken etc. and served luke warm. The staff seem young and inexperienced. The meal was pre- booked a week ago, food chosen. Two places hadn’t been set, an extra starter was over counted and two main courses omitted. ( Our table was for 15, with nobody else eating) When correcting the main meals, two choices were not available from menu. On a Friday night at this time of year, the draft ale ran out, followed by the bottled alternative. Ultimately, a 25% was made to the bill. Seriously not impressed, makes Fawlty Towers look efficient.Vegetarian options: Token options on menu.Parking: Shares with local church approx. 30 - 35 places in total.

Food amazing and staff very friendly. My wife and I had specific dietary requirements and the owner could not of been more friendly and helpful. Also the Christmas decorations were lovely. We very much look forward to going there again soon

Not good. Was booked for Sunday lunch at 1.30pm. Had run out of Gammon. Just beef or chicken left. They had served a party before us they said. Waited for ages between courses. The staff sat about the bar eating biscuits but didn't check on us. Would have liked more gravy. Of the 3 desserts , no cheesecake left , ice cream was all defrosted , so only brownie left , served with cream in a hot jug. Or cheeseboard. Had to go to bar to ask for coffee as staff were dragging tables about the floor, then reordered as lady forgot what 4 coffees we ordered. Mine was spilt into saucer so the paper sugar was soaked. Was not impressed with mouldy look of tiling behind the toilet door. For £16.95 for main course we expected a better experience.
We only stopped for a drink on a hot Sunday afternoon. There was only one other customer. It was pleasant sitting outside at the back. We plan to go back some time to try the food

Had a fantastic meal today, everything was perfect. The food was so tasty and the waitress was so friendly and made the experience really nice for a belated Mother’s Day meal. Will definitely be returning.

We had an amazing night at the cock for my 40th birthday. Having been let down by a large hotel in Milton Keynes our party of 20 had nowhere to go just two days before we were due to go out and celebrate. Within two days the team at the cock managed to book us in, take our pre order and cater for all our dietary needs. They arranged for us to have our own area of the restaurant and then set up our very own little private snug to party in afterwards (we even got to play our own music). The quality of food and drinks served were amazing. The team could not do enough for us. We had drinks waiting on arrival, along with cocktails! A fab pub - with a lovely kind efficient and accommodating team. Can’t wait to go back soon. Thank you so much! Xxx
