First time in a 'spoons. I was very pleasantly surprised with the meal. The food was excellent. We had a vegetarian option, it arrived hot and fresh, and it was at the table in under 15 mins. The drink was actually sugar-free, which was good (I carry a test kit). The staff were very friendly and helpful.The down points:It was filthy, the tables were not cleared, the ones that were available were sticky and not wiped clean. I had to clean my table. There was food on the floor everywhere. The atmosphere was not nice, slightly threatening. It was fairly empty. We arrived at 5pm on a Wednesday, but of the few people there, most were dishevelled very drunk older men. One man, a few tables away, was constantly coughing, hacking, spitting it out, and emptying up his lungs. Others were stumbling about. A family entered and left immediately. We only stayed as we had a time limit, had already ordered, and there wasn't a queue.I would not recommend it or come here again. It was not clean, and it felt unsafe, like it would all kick off at any minute.But the food was good, under £20 for mains and drinks, a bargain for two people.Vegetarian options: Beyond meat burger with fresh salad guacamole, chips, and onion rings.Dietary restrictions: Not manyParking: Loads of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Flat area with tables and movable chairs.

They appeared to be short staffed, tables were dirty & not cleared of previous diners plates etc. A short queue to order. Staff were very polite and worked as quickly as they could. Food arrived relatively quickly and was good value for money.

I was the only one on my table who was ID’d despite coming here multiple times as a regular and I have never been ID’d. Fully appreciate policy etc. but I shouldn’t be alienated for not having my ID on the table with my friends, despite them all being younger than me. I’ll take it as flattery being 29 and being ID’d but could’ve been more polite and not single me out. The manager also chose to avoid me and refuse to serve me at a bar for purchasing a soft drink.

Eaten here once food was adequate… in there this evening for husbands work Xmas drinks…. Bar staff very rude and unapproachable… one had a go at my husband for where the chair and was extremely argumentative and rude… told her to move it herself if she didn’t like where it was… won’t be visiting again in a hurry!!

Quality pub. You can get banned for life multiple times here and still go back. Old spoons is even better.The bad reviews on waiting after ordering on the app are hilarious. Peeps actually sat in the pub near the bar and waited an hour for a pint when they could have taken 10 steps and got it at the bar ?. Please do not reproduce.

Awful experience these guys don’t care. Never go there. Manager won’t care if you complain l. They say, “go complain it’s okay” I told them it’s not your business so you won’t know the pain of running a business. And the said yeah… FF… and don’t come here… I know why he said that… coz he won’t care…. Toilets overflowing wow… it’s like shir everywhere. Never coming here again…I think weatherspoons management is looking in these reviews. If yes then hope they will respond else it’s oky…. MUW will soon be an historic place.

Went here in April, stopped in for just a couple of pints with a friend, used the online app to order, was kept waiting for an hour. We kept asking about them, all we were told was "They're coming, we're working on it, we're very busy today". In the end, we gave up and left. I appreciate they might be busy, but it surely should not take over an hour to produce just two pints. Very poor.
Food and beer, good and as expected. What was unacceptable was the behaviour of the door staff later on in the night. I witnessed some ridiculous bullying behaviour towards peaceful, paying patrons. Just because someone on the door was on a power trip.It was a real shame aslnd it caused our entire group of over 20 people to leave and take our business elsewhere. None of us wanted to be around that type of behaviour.

Well what can I say it's ot friendly. And if you change something like beans for mushrooms be assured you will only get one lonely mushrooms.. The sausages was very dry and gritty. (They was left) the eggs was not kept soft even tho asked. I have to say we left a fair bit of our meal.I went to the bathroom and found 2 of the toilets was out of order. And some where very dirty. There was water all over the sink and floor but it did smell nice.There was a group of men that was very loud and made it feel unsafe however I guess that to be expected this time and age.

We visited The Moon Under Water in June 2023. The pub is reasonably sized with a large seating area at the front and extends into the Xscape complex. Had some brekky and it was disappointing. Food was cold, beans were freezing, everything was plain.No shakers provided, salt and pepper are on the dedicated table, packed in the tiny paper bags, had to fetch these myself.Overall experience is poor, the good bit is that beer was cold.
