“Always fun, always something different to enjoy, super friendly staff, sunny beer garden, board games, a barn, sometimes space to park on the road, friendly punters… what more would you want?!”

“A country pub which may be recognisable as a location used by Midsomer Murders as well as other films and TV series. Often busy which is hardly surprising given the quality of the food, a regular menu plus a specials board, plus there is always an interesting selection of guest ales.”

“This is an absolutely amazing local pub. It is so homely, much needed after hiking for 3 hours in the hills. The soup, and the panini were great, and served quickly. You can tell why the locals love this place! I will be happy to return soon when we come to the Chilterns again.
Vegetarian options: They have veg versions of some dishes.
Kid-friendliness: They have a play area in the back
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps are available for the outside covered seating”

“The Whiteleaf Cross pub - perfect location in the centre of town, old (circa 1760), characterful, friendly, good food, good beer, cheap: best pub in town? Definitely.”
