A pub that is properly a pub. Keeps its beer well. Often has the odd interesting ale. Garden View direct onto Lacey Green Windmill. Dog friendly. Serves food. Plenty of parking on the off-road strip alongside the road it faces. Not "gone totally restaurant" and the better for it. We have enough Gastro pubs nearby already.

We've been coming to The Whip Inn for a Christmas reunion for over 20 years. There's a group of 20-30 of us who worked for an American computer company called Tandem. We'll arrive at 12, some stay until 7 or 8, and are provided with a hot and cold buffet. The food this year was fresh, very tasty, and did a great job of soaking all the excellent beer up. Thanks to all for a great time! Cheers!

Visited on a quiet Monday afternoon. Excellent Tring beer, nice NZ sauvignon and good service. Very pleasant garden with view of Lacey Green windmill.

We went to The Whip for dinner and had one of the best burgers I've ever had - absolutely delicious. There was also a wide range of beers available on tap and the service from the friendly staff was top notch. The beer garden is also excellent with plenty of seating and not forgetting the large windmill just over the fence. We were also there to watch the live band (Blast!) who were also brilliant. We'll be back soon.

Just popped in for a quick drink , to find a great little pub with a lovely atmosphere and staff that conversed with us for hours . Great service the beer selection was good but the ales where great. Garden has a lovely view of the local windmill. Definitely stop here again when I'm in the area.Parking: A large long lay by next to the pub provides plenty of parking.
