Food was OK. Service was a little non personal and prices a bit steep. Its a shame as this could be the go to place in Wendover for an Indian.

Ordered a takeaway last night after a long hiatus from using this business. Following a brave attempt from a staff member at being friendly as I walked through the door, that all very quickly evaporated to a surlyness bordering upon contempt within 20 seconds which became very apparent to me. I picked my order up at 11pm, they're open until 11.30pm according to their website, yet I could clearly see that they were not happy at all that I'd placed an order that late, and this was on a Thursday, not a Monday! The chef brought the food out, dressed in his coat, ready to go home, with his face literally tripping him up! I got home, only 5 minutes away, to find a tiny portion of rice, which was the only hot item, a main which was just about luke warm, and the starter cold, as in stone cold. This was after me picking up my food 20 minutes after placing my order as per their instruction. Food lacked any dimension regarding flavour of any sort, besides the distinct lack of temperature, I had paid £16.50 for not very much food at all, that was overall luke warm at very best. They are obviously happy to take your money without what seems to be a single thought about if you'd ever want to go back there ever again or recommend their restaurant to anyone else, what a way to run a business! I very simply won't ever be going back or giving them any sort of recommendation! I got a blatantly stark reminder that I obviously did have a very good reason for my long hiatus, but I had decided last night that I was prepared to give them another chance. Whereas, in actuality, they only succeded in demonstrating to me exactly why I hadn't used them in so many years in every single way. (I'm a Wendover resident for well over 20 years) My experience last night can only be described as totally diabolical, I didn't enjoy one single bit of the experience! I'll be using their direct competitor from now on, only up the road and they do actually seem to care what goes out of their door. Their service is good, and their food does have some proper dimension to it's flavours, unlike here....plus its never cold!! Spend your hard earned cash somewhere else is my advice, my experience with this restaurant has been outrageously bad on all counts, both now and all those years ago too. That goes for the food and a shocking attitude from the staff, because hospitality, it's definitely not! Seems like some leapords never change their spots and this one certainly hasn't, it's got worse if anything! I'm not one to normally leave reviews, but after last night's experience, I've decided to change all that, the good people out there have every right to know about what amounted to a pretty ghastly experience for me, from start to finish. As much as I'd love to support and recommend a local business, not this one, not on your Nelly!

Visited on a Saturday evening with some friends with a mixed experience. The food was good however the restaurant is pretty tired looking and the staff were not very friendly. The draught lager was flat. The price of the meal was reasonable although would try somewhere else if in the area again

My wife and I had not had an 'Indian' eaten out for a while as she has been isolating due to chemo-therapy. The entrance to the car park at the place we intended to visit was obstructed due to inconsiderate drivers so we tried the Prince of India near by. We were given a warm welcome by really friendly people, the service was first class and above all the food that we ordered was outstanding. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Very good Indian food, for a provincial English village. The flavours were exciting and authentic, and prices reasonable. Service was effortlessly brusque, almost contemptuous. I would return in a heartbeat!Vegetarian options: My vegetarian thali was good, not brilliant. A couple of dishes were a bit 'samey'.

I recommended this restaurant to a couple of friends on Saturday and, indeed, I walked them to the door.Alas, I was informed of very slow and poor service and a below par meal.I don't generally leave poor reviews, but as my recommendation now counts for nothing, then it is warranted.Pity, because this was my first choice for myself as well, even if I hadn't been for a while.

We decided to try this restaurant after having a walk. As we entered the waiter was not at all welcoming. No smile. It made our meal not as enjoyable as it could have been. We didn't stay long.

Oh my goodness - 9/5/23 just taken delivery of a takeaway curry from Prince of India, Wendover .......... ?Ordered a Chicken Tikka Biryani, with Veg Curry, Onion Bhagis and Bread: extremely upset and very disappointed. The onions in both the Biryani and the veg curry were completely raw and inedible ......... and the bread was undercooked and also inedible.Rang POI - after 25 mins of useless chit chat they finally suggested that they may provide us with a refund ..... not sure that's actually going to happen. Thankfully we paid on VISA.Let's see if POI refund arrives - will post update one way or the other. My advice in the interim is to AVOID ......

We held a Charity Function yesterday & 26 Guests attended the Sunday Banquet. it was most memorable, the Staff were Polite & attentive, the Food was up to its usual High Standard. the Owner kindly Donated 2 Meal Vouchers which was Auctioned & we Raised £170 for a Local Charity.

Food was average and the service was terrible! We waited over an hour for our food and then the waiter never cleared our table. Even had to wait to pay our bill. Used to always come here it’s really gone downhill. Such a shame.
