Unpleasant experience here when picking up eBay packages, involving both a younger gentleman behind the counter and an older one. I was made to feel unwelcome, and very much as if they were doing me a favour by tolerating me there (apparently they make 20p per parcel and it is not worth their time, but surely if you treat visitors well we are more likely to make other purchases?). Perhaps this is due to the demographic of their other customers. In any case they will not be getting any of my custom in future. The only rudeness I have encountered in recent years in Cambridge has been at this establishment.

Best shop in Cambridge. No doubt. As close as it gets to the whole world in one shop. Can even get numbered candles! Top fresh veg, full range of flours. Pre cooked authentic food to go. Pick and mix lindt chocolates!

I challenge you to find something this store does not sell. A real treasure trove of a shop with fresh, delicious produce, everything you could possibly need and friendly staff.

If you like paying twice as much then buy from here. I've seen products with the same sell by date, same weight, even the same brand twice as expensive here. The same item is half price in other shops on Mill Road. The staff are rude and unfriendly. I've seen many, many items here which are twice as expensive. They give the impression of being really good Muslims, but I don't know how they can rip people off like this.

Staff are very helpful and pleasant. Great selection of world foods including fresh & tasty samosas and falafels. Would be nice to have a costa coffee machine. It would go nice with my veg samosa at lunch!

Editing my review after I got apologise reply and an email from Al Amin and they compensated me on the next visit.Initially issue was chicken whole and its mince that was sort of expired and smelly when started cooking.I'll give 5/5 stars for lamb that was bit costly but was the best quality and was so clean that there was hardly any fats to remove further. Thanks to the management.

I bought some oats for £1.99 but I was actually charged £9.19. I didn't realize till I got home. The lady on the till apologized when I went back to the shop but given the other comments in reviews I would echo the advice to check carefully what you are charged here.

Very very costly. Product quality is good but not value for money. Excessive cost. You can find same quality in cheaper option in NIP IN store which is on same street 5 mins walkable from Al Amin.I purchased 1 kg NATCO POWA rice flake for 5 pound which you can get easily for 3-3.5 pound in other stores with same quality.

Polite staff who are very accommodating and offer a fantastic service. Great variety at this store, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables at very competitive prices. They have a great butcher section and sell excellent curries. Can’t wait to visit again ?

A* service. Ample choices of food products. We order our halal meat from here. It’s clean, fresh with lots of choices - we wouldn’t order from anywhere else. The staff are very professional and helpful. 100% recommend!

Brilliant service!I’ve really benefited from the family run business starting up a delivery service from the first lockdown.. it was a life saver..& I continue to have deliveries even after lockdown was over. They really take care to make sure you get what you ask for.. I get calls to check my personal preferences or if I’d like an alternative if something in my order isn’t available.I’ve consistently been happy with the service.Really friendly staff. & great products.Thank you!
