This is the best cafe in town but it has a PROBLEM. Conditioning air upstairs is always far too strong which is unnecessary because the ceiling in high. If you cannot turn it down, better switch it off.

Nipped in for a coffee on ordering I went to find a spot to charge my phone so I went to sit at one of the high tables near window after moving the table slightly forward I felt something under my fingers on looking underneath there was loads of chewing gum stuck there I mean clearly nothing short of animals going in there it’s so mindless , and the staff have no standards as they don’t clean so shame on them, won’t be going back !

Slowest service ever, practically empty at lunch on a bank holiday, no clean tables, food underwhelming. More customers were walking out than waiting to be served. We won’t be back that’s for sure.

The Market Street, Cambridge branch of Cafe Nero is unhygenic and full of rude assistants. Last week I went in there - there was a fly, a blue bottle on a danish pastry, absolutely disgusting and the level of service is dire. Rude American male served me and had absolutely no respect - looking away when I gave my order. I hate that place. Through with it after all these years. I will get tea elsewhere.

Walked by on a very hot day and noticed that they had placed water bowls out by their sign for dogs.\\n\\nIt was a nice gesture that they absolutely did not need to do, but speaks very well of them.

Great place for a Nero cuppa, chilling out/warming up- depending on the weather.

Will not use this place again. Staff advised they were unable to provide a knife and fork for my 10-year old granddaughter to eat her hot toasted sandwich. Reason: being washed. Incredulous at the fact they seemed indifferent they could not provide cutlery and they had not warned me of this as I ordered a hot toastie, I asked how they suggested she eat it. A second member of staff reiterated the cutlery was being washed as if I hadn’t heard the first time. When I persisted at the absurd stupidity of the situation,, I was given a plastic knife and a wooden spoon. The latter broke as my GD tried to use the useless combination. And sadly the mocha was lukewarm. Appalling service so won’t be returning and will advise friends.

Passive aggressive rude and bossy young man wishing to humiliate a middle aged woman (why?! power trip? misogyny?) at 5.30pm 1 April. Really dirty smelly toilets (despite the newish code on the doors - they just don't clean them adequately; haven't done for years and years; and they do not routinely give you the code). I have been a regular since this cafe opened. No longer. I will be going to John Lewis, where they are polite and someone cleans the toilets.

Disgusting -- whole place needs shutting and cleaning, and the less said about the toilets the better. Went for a coffee on my way home and after ordering could not wait to get out. I have been here before and it has been deteriorating over many months. My advice is avoid.

This outlet needs a good deep clean. It seems that they don't employ cleaners and not even any spare staff to clear tables and wipe down. The whole place is dirty. The floor is disgusting. There are cobwebs around the windows, crumbs and a lot of dust on the window ledges - come on Nero take a leaf out of your competitors book down the road as in Greg's and Pret
This is a busy city centre branch. The coffee and food are the same as any other Nero but it could maybe use a bit of a refresh to the decor. At busy times - ie usually - you may have to go upstairs to get a table: it suffers rather with long-stay laptop users.

The lady that's served us looked very miserable, very little eye contact, and my chi tea latte was just warm, very disappointed ..

Quite possibly the slowest service on planet earth. At least 6 minutes for every coffee. Unbelievable. Incredible…..

The staff were super friendly and gave out a calming atmosphere. Coffee was amazing and met the standard of the chain

This place is filthy, the service is slow and the coffee isn't up to Nero usual standard. Avoid this place. It needs a really good clean or closed down
