me and my boyfriend went here to eat as there weren’t many restaurant options around and he wanted the texas burger that he saw. i had some chicken strips and waffle fries, they were perfectly fine. my boyfriend had the burger which he also thought was good at the time but then that same night he was sick twice - assuming food poisoning because that’s the only place we went to eat that day and didn’t have much of other food. the service was also quite bad as the waitresses didn’t seem like they wanted to be there either, and the hygiene of the general restaurant seems poor. wasted around £50 there and regret it a lot. the food portions were also advertised completely wrong on the online ordering, we over ordered as we believed some portions were bigger/smaller than we saw. very dissapointed and hope you guys fix your staff and food quality! as my boyfriend had to suffer the consequences of poorly managed food

Terrible experience, were waiting for 5 minutes when there as barely any clients inside because the 3 waiters were having a chat sitting down. When they finally noticed us, the blonde girl rolled her eyes, obviously having to work is too much for her. On that note we left as clearly the service was not going to be any good.

Ed’s DinerMore like Dead’s Diner. First time i used this establishment and I am shocked. I was spending time with my 2 year old and mistakenly thought this was a good place to eat.The manager did not even blink an eye when we came in. I did not feel welcomed at all. I waited ages for someone to take my order, while the staff just chatted behind the bar. THE PLACE ONLY HAD 3 customers.The food was a disgusting slobber, This felt nothing like the American diners i have been to before.Another customer came in and the manager made a big show on how this was her favourite customer, while i sat in the corner eating my slush. This shows the staff can make a customer feel amazing and welcomed, but then why not me?I will never be coming to ED’s Diner again. The cambridge branch has left a bad taste in my mouth and therefore will avoid all ED’s Diners.AVOID AVOID AVOID

What can I say other than Wow !!Working in this industry myself I was absolutely gobsmacked by how poor this place was on almost every level… The manager was walking around the floor eating food they picked from peoples meals as they were being plated up ! No check back to see how our food was (It wasn’t good for note) No cutlery or napkins or anything on the table until we asked for it after receiving our food.. Honestly it was the most unprofessionally run restaurant i’ve been in for a long long time !!

We have 2 little children and with their grandparents waiting to sit , we are waiting outside like more than 10 minutes and there 3 staff passing through but no one say anything to you, there are like three tables of customers there and the rest tables are free , at the end we decided to skip this unwelcome restaurant and hope you can see my comments how awful it is

Tldr: The food was delicious. Which is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars.We came in for lunch on Feb 24th. The waitress barely said a single word to us, not even to tell us we had to order from the qr code.We waited about 5 minutes before I realised. My issue started when the tip screen popped up.. I tip based on service so that was pointless.We ordered 2 kids meals, 2 adult meals, 4 milkshakes 1 fountain drink.About 30 minutes later our food comes, very tasty, hot etc. But we still didn't have any of our drinks. Or cutlery. We had to ASK for them. I also asked for our drinks, which still took a further 10 minutes to come out.My daughter is autistic, she won't eat if she doesn't have a drink.I finished my coke about halfway through, they didn't come to see if I wanted a refill or anything. Luckily my husband managed to get her attention and also had to request the dessert he had ordered at the start.Eds used to have the best customer service and hit has gone way downhill since our last visit.The waitress ignored the table of 3 teen boys next to us completely even when they were calling for her.Would not recommend if you want to not feel like a burden.

What can I say apart from I’m saddened to have a negative experience at one of my favourite restaurants. My partner and I came in at the weekend for breakfast. I was told I couldn’t get the big American with pancakes because of staff shortages. We both ordered the big Ed’s breakfast and it was tasteless. We got apple juice and it was warm. Usually my partner orders this and really enjoys it but this time it was a disaster. We was also seated next to a table with a married couple and their children. The dad was so loud. Really giving the staff a hard time with his order which made me feel uncomfortable because of the atmosphere it caused. I overheard staff talking about him which isn’t professional in ear shot of customers. Although the staff were very nice and accommodating to my partner and I. Quick seating and service. It’s just a real shame about the food because this has been one of my favourite places to eat for several years. Perhaps work on staff shortages to be able to cook what is advertised on the menu and put the juices in the fridge. :)
