We ate there yesterday (29th) evening. We were an hour early and they were unbelievably accomodating. It was my husbands 75th birthday and we had walked for hours. We were seated on the upper terrace overlooking the Cam and the punts. There is a most beautiful aura about this restaurant and its staff. The food was incredible and the staff were really friendly. They even served my husband icecream with a candle gratis. Accolade to the Manager. Highly recommended by the Harris's

So much potential to be so much better. The food was reasonable for the price and the location is great but didn’t give that warm service that makes you feel valued. It was quiet and the speed of service was fine but lacked the warmth that would have made such a difference. It felt tired and lacked passion and real pride. The toilets although ok were slightly scruffy( not sure about the ladies) and demonstrated that the real care is missing. Could easily be improved but needs a little tlc to raise the bar and get it to where it should be.

We sat on the upper outside balcony (our request) and were immediately offered blankets as it was chilly. Excellent spot watching the punters down below. Good service throughout. Attentive but not too much, friendly too. Good cocktail list, including mocktails. Its expensive (location!) and found the food good, but not excellent. Tasty and well presented, but overcooked by contemporary standards.

The restaurant has a balcony right on the river, so you can enjoy the view if you get a table there. The food was really tasty but the portions were quite small so i suggest you have a starter and/or dessert as well!

WOW WOW WOW.. could not have wished for a better anniversary meal! It was a last minute booking and boy was it a great one ...food was phenomenal! Staff were exceptional . Will be pur first choice of restaurant next time we visit Cambridge.

Galleria occupies a prime site by the river at the top of Bridge St. The menu has a large number of choices (never a good thing). We had fish which was very dry (over cooked or perhaps even reheated) The service was rather rushed with little time to choose what we wanted to eat. My friend asked to taste the wine but was given a withering putdown by the waiter who said that "it was a screw top" . I think if you are paying restaurant prices for wine you can ask to taste it first. M y overall impression was that this is no better than a chain restaurant (but apparently it is an independent) I think that this is probably a place aimed at tourists who only come here once. If you want to eat well in Cambridge avoid the town centre and try the Mill Road area.

As visitors to Cambridge, Galleria was recommended to me by a friend and former local. What a great recommendation. The location was perfect (we were sat outside on the upper balcony as the sun went down and people were passing below punting on the River Cam) and the food was delicious. I had the vegetarian pastry blankets filled with tomato & pepper cream cheese mousse followed by the marinated monkfish fillets in dill & orange risotto with caviar garnish and it was all cooked to perfection. The cheesecake was gorgeous too. Also, the staff were brilliant. Aamir looked after us excellently and he definitely added to the night's enjoyment. We're definitely looking forward to going back to Galleria next time we visit the area. Highly recommended to all.

Made our wedding anniversary dinner extra special with lovely personal touches on the dessert and attentive and efficient service. We had a great candlelit view of the river and lovely food.

Had lunch here, food was amazing, great service, not crazy prices. Will definitely return next time we are in town

After a late afternoon Punting Tour on the river Cam, Galleria Restaurant was a convenient place for dinner. We sat by the window with a view to the river and enjoyed the mixed fortunes of other punters as they passed by. The menu was not extensive, but we both had some good dishes. The staff was more than friendly and helpful, so we self satisfied.

Started off with a glass of wine on a birthday visit at lunchtime yesterday with a friend and returned for supper later with the promised table outside overlooking the river. Perfect atmosphere, amazing staff, professional but personable and funny too, and absolutely stunning food. I would highly recommend and will most definitely be returning. Perfect day thank you so much.

The Galleria is a gorgeous restaurant! The food is impeccable - compliments to the chef/kitchen staff & the location is perfect! Riverside views are what makes a special meal out, even more perfect!Overall, the experience was fantastic however, one staff member (i think he was a waiter) made you feel very rushed and simply started off with “Just a reminder, we close at 15:00 so shall we do your orders now”… although it was 13:45 ?We had alcoholic drinks, starters and mains and were out of there by 14:30 (no need to rush at all) but hats off to the food coming out extremely quickly, so that was great!Overall, wonderful experience, I just think the staff (this one in particular) needs to do a better job at making people feel welcome, rather than making them feel like they need to rush their food.I would recommend and will definitely return in the future!

What a incredible restaurant filled with incredible staff. Kind friendly and just made our evening so special. Sat on the balcony and was looked after all night. The food was out of this world and, the prices in my view are cheap for how amazing the food and service is. I am gutted I live so far away that I can't be a regular here. Thanks Galleria :)

I booked this based on reviews and was disappointed. The food was unexciting and felt like it was prepared in advanced and reheated. No freshness. The staff lacked warmth and the restaurant lacked atmosphere. In spite of ordering extra roasted vegetables with the main course there was not a single green vegetable to be seen... just parsnips and carrots. The dessert was microwaved crumble (not hot enough) with shop bought custard. I won't be going back and felt embarrassed that I had taken my friend for such a disappointing meal.
