Indian Restaurants in Cambridge
“Totally exceptional. Lalbagh has clearly considered every facet of the restaurant experience and makes an effort to deliver the very best.We were incredibly impressed with the attention that was given to each dish, from the very top with the starters that had a certain amount of drama to them,to the desserts that were quite fun. The mains were well portioned, well seasoned and obviously skillfully envisioned. The staff were courteous and warm, and the little (free!) touches such as the hand wipes, orange slices and evening chocolate tipped the scale to make the dining experience really quite luxurious. My final thought is that contrary to my expectations in Cambridgeshire, this experience was really well priced.”
“From the moment you enter The Maharajah you are treated like the most important person there. The staff are all so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about all their dishes. When myself and 5 other guests visited it was a busy Saturday night, but the professionalism and calmness of the staff was like a Tuesday night. If thats not enough reason to visit you wait until you try the food…. Out of this world! Hand on heart it is the best and most flavoursome Indian cuisine i have ever had! Thank you to all the staff for such a great dining experience.”
“Wow - never have I had such beautifully prepared curries. We have travelled in Nepal, India and other countries experiencing their cuisine. This was stunning. Every dish was so beautifully presented. So so very tasty. We had been recommended by a guy in one of the local shops - he was so right! I can’t think of a meal that just kept being so incredible. Not just that though - we had travelled with our 8 month border terrier puppy who they allowed into the restaurant. He just slept by our feet the whole time. Vilas and her team were wonderful throughout the evening and we immediately booked to go back on our last night.”
“Went for a friends birthday party. The experience overall was good. The food has some eccentric info western combinations which are not purely authentic but a good attempt. Not a place for regular dine out or takeaway but maybe just for special occasions. The service was great.”
“Lovely welcome, amazing food and great service. A must for curry lovers who fancy something slightly different. All the traditional options are available but this was probably the best Indian we have been to in a long time.”
“As a curry fan and resident of Bradford (the UKs curry capital) I really enjoy the food at Kaz's. Always tasty and fresh”
“Been here two weeks on the bounce here with work and each time has been a fantastic experience. Great food and an even better service. Jish has been fantastic and put a smile on our faces every time we visit. Looks like we will be coming back next week!!!!”
“A great Indian restaurant on Regent Street, centre of Cambridge.Simple straight forward menu, great service and the food was delicious.Highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch or dinner.”
“Around 9pm, the restaurant in our hotel was closed, my daughter and I were so disappointed and had to find something to eat. We did not want walk long, and just went across street, We did not expect much. To our surprise we found a such delight authentic southern Indian food, everything was delicious, the waiter was friendly and quick, told me I ordered too much and suggested I should order one less item. My daughter will spend 3 years in Cambridge, we will definitely come back more.”
“Service from the owner was amazing and recommendations were spot on! Everything was full of flavour food was literally melting in our mouths. Plenty of menu choices, the owner even served us with a dish off the menu which was amazing. Overall atmosphere is great as you feel passion about food and service from the owner, but the rest of the team needs to pick it up a notch regarding serving as they didn't pay much attentive attention to the guests. We as a couple definitely recommend the venue. Ourselves we are going to come back to try the rest of the amazing looking dishes. ?”
