Wanted to love it. But ended up being disappointed. Food was cold so had to send it back. Bar staff not knowledgeable on wines and also just not very friendly. Will give it another try in the

If you want a good selection of beers then this is the place for you. Staff make good recommendations on what to try based on your preference.

The best place for beer in Cambridge by far. They normally have 17 or so keg beers, 6 or more cask beers, cider on tap as well as an extensive gin and whisky menu. They do bar snacks (highly recommend the scotch egg) and sit down meals in dedicated restaurant areas. The Sunday roast is well worth booking. There's also outside seating at the back which is easily missed (go left at the stairs and follow the corridor).

Fun stop and quiet outside hangout. (AIE) This place was packed, inside. My friends and I enjoyed 4 rounds of whisky, beer, cider and house specialty drinks in the alley / designated smoking area. Inside on a Friday night, there wasn't a seat available. We braved the cold and drizzle for 2 hours. When the place started clearing out, we sat in a hall with stools and a counter. Seating area around the bar is all low top tables. Loud but worth the atmosphere. Great energy. 3 different bartenders helped us. All professional, patient and kind. Noticed the 2nd floor was for dinning. And if you need to work off food or drink, the restrooms are on the third floor. Clean, well stocked and charming decor. Memorable visit for a one night stay in Cambridge. (American in England)

Went for a Sunday roast with a friend, both had the beef and both thoroughly enjoyed it! Really well seasoned food and the meat was cooked so well. Can also highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding, so much sauce and a huge portion!

Nice place in Cambridge centre. The food was fresh, good and It was possible to eat very fast. There are a lot of differenti types beers. Food prices are high especially for the starters.....

Booked for a Christmas dinner. The staff was aware of me having a severe Peanut allergy yet on our arrival we found all the booked tables with multiple portions of Peanuts already on them as an appetiser. What a smart move!!

Been going here for years but in the last year, the food quality and service have both really gone downhill. The last 3 visits all had significant issues with both the length of time to receive meals (over an hour in 2 cases) and the accuracy of the food delivered (missing or wrong items, items incorrectly cooked). In all cases, it wasn't even very busy and there appeared to be plenty of staff working. A case in point is their steaks which they promote heavily - steer clear! After several tries, it is clear they have no idea how to correctly cook one, either under- or over-cooking by at least one grade each time (e.g. the last one was requested medium but came well done, a previous one was requested medium-rare but came blue). Given the high quality of meat they use (Malloys) and the high prices they charge for this (ribeye is currently £40) this is very frustrating. After so many issues recently, our meal there this week was the 'last chance saloon' for the Pint Shop & they failed again - we won't be going back.

Really really poor over priced limited menu- sent back undercooked chicken starter, tasteless steak, dreadful coffee, dirty floors, place needs a refresh, and needs repairs and maintenance to walls finishes and toilets. I felt sorry for the excellent staff at front of house and at the bar. Won't go back
