If you want truly authentic Vietnamese food, this is the place to go. We had the bun bo hue (spice beef noodle soup), which was absolutely incredible. They also do these incredibly tasty banh khot (mini prawn crispy pancakes). Their grilled pork with noodles, fresh spring rolls and desserts were also spot on. I honestly felt like I was transported back to Vietnam. Its a family run business and you can really tell by the love and care they put into their food.

Had an extremely frustrating experience with making a reservation at this restaurant and dealing with the staff (particularly the owner upon confrontation).Firstly, it is crucial to note that reservations made through their website are not considered valid. The owner consistently claimed ignorance about these reservations, despite the fact that this issue has been well documented in Google Reviews dating back two years. It is disappointing to see a lack of effort on their part to rectify this ongoing problem.Furthermore, the limited availability for phone reservations adds another layer of inconvenience. The restaurant only accepts calls during their specified serving hours, leaving customers in a bind if they need to reach them outside of that timeframe. This lack of accessibility only serves to compound the frustration associated with making a reservation.Even during their designated serving hours, communication with the staff proved to be a daunting task. They rarely pick up, and in times when they do, they appeared perpetually busy and were quick to hang up when difficulties arose, also conveniently shifting blame onto the customer. I personally experienced this dismissive behaviour when I confronted them about a promised return call that never materialised. Upon visiting the restaurant in person, I was met with rejection and accusations of aggression. The owner of the business stated it had only been 10 mins since she said she would call me back, when it had already been 30 mins. While I understand that waitressing is a busy job and lunch is a busy time, my urgency stemmed from my point 2 above, where it is impossible to call them up outside of serving hours. Their shift for lunch was ending soon, but my reservation for that night had still not been confirmed, and the owner failed to show any understanding or sympathy for the situation. Sadly, a quick glance at previous Google reviews confirms that I am not alone in encountering similar situations of such unprofessionalism and poor customer service. In light of my experience, I feel obliged to caution others when considering making reservations at this restaurant. The conduct of the staff is deeply frustrating and characterised by unsatisfactory responses, a consistent evasion of responsibility, and a strong inclination to shift blame back onto the customer, only serving to spoil what could have been an enjoyable dining experience. What is particularly disheartening is the owner's inability to differentiate between an unhappy customer and a rude one, something which I believe is at the base of working in the service industry. My conversation with the owner ended with her telling me that she did not want to see my face and to find somewhere else to eat, even refusing me for takeout despite making the effort to visit the restaurant in person to clarify their own reservation system issues. It's safe to say I will not be attempting to give business to this establishment any time soon (something probably of relief to the owner as well). Unfortunate as their Pho is one of the more authentic ones in Cambridge city. Be warned.

Best Vietnamese restaurant that I have found this side of Hué.I hadn't been in nearly 10 years and it is still as good as I remember.Fabulous food and a lovely atmosphere. Easily worth the trip from London.

Fabulous tasty food. Great starters and mains. Always love this restaurant and have never had a bad meal there. We had vegetarian spring rolls and mushroom pancakes for starters and a beef and duck curry for main course.

The food was just OK. Small, some might say mean portions that were not particularly tasty. The service, while efficient was not what you would call attentive. In addition, I ended up with powderised paint on my jacket from a damp wall in the basement room.

Looking forward to trying this lovely looking restaurant! But a disappointment… had spring rolls, very tasty, and soft shell crab which was small and over priced… main course chosen was not available, so decided on sliced duck with noodles, a delight and king prawns with rice… over priced, over cooked, at 3 prawns and a rice with some sauce… a shame all round! Will not be returning…

No review because we couldn’t get a meal because they are too computer inept to post a message saying we are closed for our holiday.Even Google maps entry still announces they are open!!Everyone deserves a holiday. However if you have a booking system on your www make sure it tells customers you are not there. My booking was taken via their www and advised a confirmation within 24 hours NOTHING arrived so I should have been suspicious. We went anyway only to find a scrap of paper on the door announcing "We are closed for holiday" !! This is 2023 in Cambridge city centre.

Always wanted to try this place because of the cool and many plants! We were sat down in the lower floor which was okay but smelled very much like soup/kitchen - which was right adjacent with an open door. The service was quick and very nice. We shared spring rolls as starter (£9) which were yumm but tiny and barely enough sauce for half a roll. I had the shrimp coconut bamboo curry and my partner the beef curry. Both dishes were incredibly tasty - but tiny and very overprized (£15-17). Like many others commented, I was still hungry after dining there. Even though I love Vietnamese food I don’t think I’ll go back because it is just brazenly overpriced.

No license, but the wine shop down the road has wine and beer and they only charge £3 corkage per person. The food is superb and the layout with beautiful plants gives it a homely feeling. Can't wait to go back.

Beautiful mom pop vietnamese restaurant decorated with lots of wonderful plants.Spring rolls, pork vermicelli, and dessert are all great & authentic. Atmosphere is quiet and wonderful. Ai Wei Wei dined next to us!!!No alcohol is served. So a great hack is to go to the Cambridge Wine Shop next door and get several good bottles of wine to enjoy at dinner. There is a corkage fee.The only complaint here is that because the door is often open and the restaurant is right next to the street, the traffic noise can be quite annoying.

Very nice family/homey atmosphere and the food was delicious….but pricey.Presentation of the food was nice but shame about the portion size for the price you are paying…..I was still hungry after so had to pop into McDonald’s to get a cheese burger.I would come back again if they make their meals worth the price.

First visit and very happy that they could cater for gluten free, one of is coeliac. Very friendly and good service. Food was good, starters particularly. Our only criticism was that our main courses were served before we finished our starters and our bill was presented before we’d finished eating, this was pre 10pm. Nice vibe but don’t like to be rushed, especially on a Friday evening.
