I was a bit unsure due to the mixed reviews, but I had a decent experience here. The staff who took my order were very accommodating and helpful. I ordered the cod and fries, and both were freshly made while I was in the store. The portions here are very generous. The only thing I didn't really like was that they left the fish skin on the cod.
We've been here three times, and they've consistently served up the same great food. The chips are some of the best I've had, they're just like what you get at the seaside, with a nice taste andjust the right amount of crisp. The beef and chicken burgers are both excellent, and they even toast the buns! Also of note are the scampi bites, which are nicely fried. The food was just like being at the seaside and the staff were great and friendly. Would recommend going there for proper fish and chips. We will be going back and bring some friends too.
