Had an amazing outdoor dining experience even though there was a brief bout of rain. The food was the best Thai style I've had we ordered a 77b. sharing plate for me and the missus. I'm not usually a pad thai fan but the prawn pad thai was enough to make me a convert. I grew up in land locked state in the US and the fish cakes were enough to make me regret growing up in such a locale. It's been a few years since we visited 77 in Caxton. I always remember it being very good but our experience this week was fantastic. Still the same quirky pub setting but the food was exceptional - probably some of the best Thai food I've ever had. It's strange how you get out of the habit of going places, and when you return, it's far better than you remember. We won't be leaving it so long before returning. I also noticed that they do 'take-aways' which is good to know.

Excellent Thai food esp if you're hungry...choose the cantok shared menu.. the seafood one is fantastic.Pity it is now closed permanently, after 10 years of hosting diners. Hopefully the venue will reopen under a new umbrella.
