Visited over three times. Staff are always friendly, and the coffee and the fresh cakes are really good. It was really nice sitting outside under the new canopy.

This is the best little tea room ! Not only do these guys serve the most fabulous breakfasts , perfect poached eggs , omelettes , eggs Benedict to die for , fabulous coffees . Great service particularly love the waitress with the pink hair !I’ve visited many times with my elderly mum with dementia and the staff are so helpful . 5 star ?

After having driven from the South of the UK up to Huntindon, I went with a friend to went Hollies for a coffee. As I am a coeliac I am very careful about food intake and cross contamination as a crumb of contaminated food can mean a hospital visit and shortening of life expectancy, hence I ordered no food in case of contamination. In fact I was even offered a Kitkat as it was packaged, of course this shows training is poor as a Kitkat is not possible for a coeliac to eat. This applies to most coeliacs. As I questioned how the food was served in a nice manner without rudeness, I was extremely upset about being thrown out and my money having been given back due to this event. Overall, very upset by this experience.Reply 24/2/24I can see various incorrect comments in your response, having noted your apology for the offering of a KitKat, I find it strange that you claim that the member of staff was not aware I was a Coeliac, which is strange as seconds earlier I had been talking to her about exactly that and have had conversations with her in the past about my concern regarding your gluten free products. As you state she was very well trained she should have been aware about the KitKat.We were indeed rudely spoken to and your response again is inconsistent with events given at no point in the past, or that day, have your sourcing and treatment of gluten free products been properly explained to me.However, I was happy only to have a drink and did not cause any scene in ordering just coffees. My friend can eat gluten products but equally chose not in support of me, as I was concerned about the presentation of your products for myself. It is wrong to suggest that any explanation of food safety standards which has never taken place was the reason for asking us to leave. The reason stated by your manager was that he wanted us to leave as he didn’t like criticism which I find very upsetting as I was not causing a scene and was happy just to have a coffee.I find it unacceptable that we were asked to leave and was banned from visiting again as a result of my concern regarding the effects on my health by the possible contamination. The request to leave and ban is totally without merit, surely your manager should have been more concerned with establishing what comments had been made and keeping a customer. This seems to be blatant discrimination against someone who you have already confirmed should have the right to query your food practices.

Had an appalling visit today to Hollies Tea Room having been asked to leave after querying the safety of their gluten free food, we had declined any food due to the presentation of food above the gluten free products which could lead to contamination of the food below & serious consequences for a coeliac, the manager asked us to leave after we had ordered and paid for coffees advising he didn’t like criticism, we did suggest that if he sorted the issue there would be no reason to raise a concern, the rudeness and ignorance of the manager was totally unacceptable and indicates a lack of training in both him and his staff regarding gluten free products , if you are a Coeliac I would not recommend the Hollies Tea Room, a real shame as the surroundings are very pleasant

Came for breakfast Saturday morning. Very nice food and very nice staff! We had a full English and poached eggs on avocado sour dough and sausage bap. All three meals were really tastey and the sausage and bacon were good quality and decent portions, sometimes garden center cafes can be a bit lame but not this! The staff were friendly and attentive.I dropped my fork and the gent working immediately offered me a new one, I obviously declined because im not wet and the floor was clean, but I appreciate that level of service. We will definitely return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit for food and a hot drink. Also the poached eggs were perfect!Parking: Plenty of parking but maybe tighter during peak times in warmer weather.Kid-friendliness: Highchairs available and clean.Wheelchair accessibility: Gravel carpark but no steps into the cafe.
