“The first time I went to this pub I had to navigate a three minute conversation about dogs with the bartender before I could order. That is the most amazing delay I've ever had in ordering two pints!Me and husband walk over from a neighbouring village. Every time we go we meet a few new awesome humans and occasionally reconnect with awesome humans we met before. We also often meet the same awesome dogs.The service is exactly what you would expect in a well-run and cared-for village pub: when a beer is out we all wait for them to change the barrel, when it's your turn you get exactly the amount of greeting and banter you invite and whilst it is not a London-smart-arse-indie-brew range on offer, there are good options to choose from.In the summer we use the large outside area, in the winter we enjoy the fireplace. Every season we enjoy it :-)”
