My partner had his haircut by the barbers next door and since my daughter had sat nicely whilst he was being serviced we decided to take a trip to this cafe that is located right nextdoor as a treat.Unfortunately we didn't even get to sit down as another customers dog barked at me, unprovoked, twice. Once when I was trying to look at the menu on the wall and again when I knelt down to ask my three year old what she wanted to eat. After this I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome so I decided we should leave.I thought the sign saying 'Dogs welcome, people tolerated" was a joke but it would not seem to be the case this time.

One of my favourite cafes anywhere. And I love cafes. Wife and me always have such a pleasant time here and the food and service is off the charts.Lovely place.

Lovely warm welcome on a cold day and simply delicious food. An extensive menu and cosy setting when I needed to break a long journey. Glad I found it!

Stopped into Pinnies early afternoon while exploring the town and reading good reviews about the place. It is in a nice quiet street with outdoor seating and a charming setup however I was sadly disappointed.I had a pot of tea and scone.. and perhaps if this was my first tea shop visit during my UK trip I may have rated the scones higher however having become a bit of a scone expert over the past 4 weeks I had to compare it against my previous experiences and sadly it did not rate particularly well. The most disappointing part of my visit however was how disorganised they were. The counter area was a mess with spillages over both the worktop and floor, all the indoor tables and half the outdoor tables were full of leftovers - it did not look pleasant and only left me a choice of 2 empty tables. The young girl serving appeared stressed asking me for my order within moments of me walking in, perhaps she mistook me for a regular, and did not offer me either a menu or table. My tea and scone was delivered by a more mature woman who was polite however did not leave me feeling welcomed or valued in any way.

GREAT FIND and dog friendly. Had coffee, tea and home made cakes. The lady owner was so welcoming even though it was almost closing time. She was so nice, told us not to rush. The drinks and cakes were delicious. Best victoria sponge and lemon drizzle I've had in a long time. The other food looked good quality too.

Big Breakfast Bap is delicious and really good value. Freshly made to order with good quality ingredients in a large fresh bap. Two rashers of bacon, two sausages and two fried eggs. Cost £5 - highly recommended.

Very nice cake but absolutely awful coffee. Ordered a flat white, was a white Americano at best, but even if that's what it was, that was bad as well. Maybe best to get a cake and a cup of tea if you visit.

Asked for 2 sandwiches. Some garnish not available . Asked for both on granary . Got home one was on white bread which did not taste fresh .£11 for 2 sandwiches and crisps .Would t go againKid-friendliness: Staff spent more time with children than serving customers
