Very very nice pub with local people and two dogs the food was out of this world. We just tried it on the off chance. But I will be going back again and againParking: I could get close to the door as I am disabled

Booked for a Sunday dinner with no problems. Nice "proper" pub. It was nice to see lamb on the menu so that was our choice of mains. Unusual not to find any mashed potato on the plate but it didn't distract from the rest of the offerings. Generous portions of lamb. Piping hot roasties too. Vegetables were served separately and were just the right texture nice and firm not some stewed offerings. Good to see that despite gravy already being poured onto the plate a separate gravy boat was placed on the table too. The apple and pear dessert was good too served with really sweet custard. Had a couple of pints of ale to go along with it but thought that choices were limited. Seemed a decent choice of lagers though. Same to with spirits and wines they seemed plentiful. Service was good.Friendly and efficient.

My partner and I went for lunch here and the food was excellent, one of the best steak & ale pies I’ve ever had! The staff was fantastic and tended to you every need. We highly recommend a visit.

Very impressed probably the best pub grub I've had all homemade takes a bit of time but boy was it worth it we all had soup of day minestrone and it was a meak in itself never seen so many vegetables in a soup! Steak and ale pie was to die for soft juicy steak rich gravy and flakey trust topping bangers and.mash great as was the vegetable bake Apple crumble on point along woth cheesecake and one vanilla ice cream To top it off a group of rough Morris dancers came in and played the squeeze box Spoons flutes So 4 starters 4 mains 3 puds 6 pints 5 large wines and a coffee £145 not cheap for a pub but resturant standard!

Great food, awesome staff, good banter BUT no heating on when it's 2C outside. Freezing sat near the window. Such a shame as would have a been a 5 star experience otherwise.

Met friends for a traditional Sunday Roast...attentive staff; menu full of tantalizing options to satisfy a discerning palate. After many years living overseas, the yearning for a Roast dinner was answered, in this quaint coach house Inn. Lovely Pub with both excellent food and service! Recommended!

Great quality food and very friendly service. Busy lunchtime which was testimony to popularity, but food arrived in good time and was freshly cooked and well presented. Menu has sufficient choices for all tastes and appetites, without falling into the trap of trying to offer too many options - stick to what you are good at is my motto (and theirs!)

Good food, tasty and well presented. We had the lamb saddle and rump steak. Well stocked bar of many different spirits, a nice Balvenie 12 year malt whiskey on offer well received by my husband. Surroundings are a bit tired but made up for in buckets by the lovely, attentive barman.

It was alright, nothing particularly wrong but also not great. Had much better from other "Gastro Pubs". Not sure oven chips can have the moniker Gastro attached to them...Popped back and the first thing that hits you is it really smells ! A musty, unpleasant smell. Had a pint when the barman eventually served me after prioritising a phone call. Paid London prices and moved on.Looks great outside but really nothing special on the inside...

This was the second time we had visited this pub. And we weren't disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful the food was excellent. There is a large garden with a variety of seating areas and plenty of room for kids to run around. There is also a small car park. We will return for another visit.

Went for Sunday lunch which was delicious and we will go again. Intend to try the weekday specials. Staff are lovely as is the pub itself. Hopefully in winter the fire will be lit!

3 course dinner and food and service was superb. Pork melted when touched and the stick toffee pudding was amazing! Very friendly and welcoming by staff. Really good value for money. Highly recommend and can’t wait to eat again
