Always excellent food, excellent service, unbelievable selection of beers, and very competitively priced. 10/10

We (family of 6) visited the warehouse for a Sunday roast. Very nice setting and loved that we could access the world of beers and large antique shops. The food was lovely, roast beef cooked medium rare as it should! Children’s roast was a fair size too and good price. We were disappointed when one of the party asked for more gravy, only to be told we’d get charged more. Little bit ridiculous when we’re paying £17 a dinner. Staff were great, kept checking if we needed more drinks and were very good with a fussy 4 year old! Overall very nice place and will be visiting in the summer for the beer garden!

Great place for a chilled out lunch. The food is excellent and a good selection of ales. Modern vibe and the service is spot on.

Date of Visit: 14/01/2024 - Coffee and cake were both very nice, however I was told my cake could not be warmed, which was a request I was very surprised was declined as it’s a standard offering where I come from… and I’m sure countless other restaurants offer this pleasantry too ! I’m also pretty certain a short walk to the kitchen to maybe “ask the chef” if my cake could have been put in the microwave for 20-30 seconds and warmed on a cold winters day shouldn’t have been too much trouble for the waitress, however “it’s not something they do” apparently… A shame really - Thank you :(

After reading Facebook reviews, Tripadvisor and word of mouth, I decided to venture the five miles up the road and give it a try. My Mrs whom uses her mums roast as barometer to judge anyone else’s attempt at a roast dinner had to admit that The Taproom’s was next level. Beautifully presented and every element on the plate on point. It was absolutely delicious. Extra gravy was graciously provided and the waiting staff were welcoming and professional. I can not find fault with the food. The dining area is relaxed and cool. There’s an inviting trim trail for young children outside and in summer an abundance of outdoor seating. All in all a great experience and I’ll very much look forward to my next visit

Great lunch here, really impressed with the steak in ciabatta on the sandwich section of the menu. The staff were very attentive and made sure we always had everything we needed. Higher than average price for the area but the who experience was worth it. Also worth the trip just for the warehouse next door which is stocked with world alcohol that's not always available in the supermarkets. Leading on from that is a huge antiques warehouse, which is definitely worth the trip. Best day ever.

We came here with family including three children for lunch shortly before Christmas. The restaurant was busy but staff were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately it was extremely noisy, making it hard to hear each other, and the pizza menu was not being served. These things posed a particular problem for one of our children who is neurodiverse and struggles in loud places and with unexpected changes, and she didn't manage to eat anything as a result and we had to take her home early, missing dessert, as it was too overwhelming for her and she was getting very distressed. However the food we had was excellent, especially the fish and chips, and portion sizes were very generous. The only reason for the loss of a "star" is just the noise levels and the fact that they weren't serving the full menu. We probably wouldn't come back here as a family, but would heartily recommend the food.

Welcoming and polite staff. Cakes and meals delicious. Usually have the pancakes for breakfasts and lunch quiche of the day, along with either a latte or pot of tea. Comfy spacious restaurant with nice sofa area when catching up with friends As well as nice dining tables for family gatherings. Been loads of times over the last couple of years or so since it opened. Definitely one of my favourite places to meet up.Always going back.

First time visiting, very impressed. Polite and very efficient service. Fairly busy but my breakfast arrived in no time. Generous portions, perfectly cooked. Waitress even apologised for her tablet not working properly! I will be back and will recommend to friends and colleagues. Thank you!
