Had Sunday lunch today best bit was cauliflower cheese. 2 very small over cooked slices of Pork. Roast potatoes had been left to keep warm. Skins so hardcould hardly cut them when you did potato inside had dried and was almost gone. Gravy was warm. Wouldn't recommend and will not go back. Worst Sunday lunch in pub We have ever had. No choice other than pork or beef no veggie option offered

Can't add more details as only stopped for a beer. The barmaid was friendly.

Bad beer, bad wine, atmosphere zero. Oh dear.

Absolutely dreadful, would not recommend if you are looking for a place to stay, stayed a total of 3 nights already paid for breakfast and didn't get it 2 of the 3 days.Breakfast was suppose to be at 8.30 which is already late for a B&B especially for workers staying away, even though in the leaflet in your room it says 7am. The second day one of the workers arrived and told us the landlady won't be there till gone 9am so me and my work colleague had told just head to work. And again on the 3rd morning no where to be seen by 8.35 so had to leave because would be gone 9am by the time we get food. Their excuse was traffic but that's absurd you should leave earlier then to get there for 8.15 so food can start at 8.30.Also no evening food with an array of 'reasons' about why. First day they Said they don't do food on Mondays which is fair, 2nd day apparently the chef had an ear infection so again no food and the 3rd night he then got covid apparently I'd like to say we were going to stay the week before this but didn't as they said no food all week because chef was 'ill'.Thirdly don't get your hopes up for WiFi, although there is WiFi In the pub it does not reach your room so be prepared to use a lot of data.Overall a very bad time here will not be returning and would recommend to anyone who doesn't literally want a bed for the night.

Lovely little pub. Jodie was so welcoming and friendly, and super helpful. Stayed here to go racing at Newmarket, great location, only a 10min drive. The breakfast was fab, generous portions and just good food. Will definitely stay here again.Room was clean and had everything we needed.

Lovely ambiance, very relaxed, couldn't ask for more from the hosts. Good pub grub, both dinner and breakfast, managed to cater for 9 adults perfectly and service was flawless. Rooms are more than adequate, very funny all staying in our own personal stable, would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Food was awful.Frozen chips, cold Camembert, lumpy mashed potatoes, thin bisto gravy, burnt fish, couldn’t do Irish coffee so had latte instead, disgusting and to add insult to injury were asked to pay up and leave at just turned 10pm because they had to be up early to do breakfast in the morning. Will never go back there.Chefs sitting at the bar waiting for customers to order, totally unprofessional

Good value, clean and really nice owners. Great location if you're going to Newmarket for the races and the breakfast was spot on.
YOU MUST GO TO THIS PUB! Jodie and Aaron took care of me when I needed it most. Their hospitality will always be remembered! I can assure you of great pints, even better tasting food and a clean room. If kindness is what you want you've found the right place.

I’ve now found my new Saturday lunchtime venue. The new landlady and landlord were lovely. The food was really nice. What more could you ask for. Will definitely be a regular. Looking forward to our Saturday lunchtimes

Second time staying overnight at the pub in the converted stables within a month. The rooms are reasonably small but ideally quaint and clean and was perfect for our purpose at a very reasonable cost, with a wonderful management team and employees lead by Aaron and Jodie. They were extremely friendly and helpful and can't thank them enough for their support to us in this charming, beautiful village opposite the village green. Good beers and food and a very friendly reception from everyone down to the cleaning staff. Many Thanks, Tim And ClaireNottingham
