Came to the Peterborough restaurant for a nice family dinner last night, have been so many times before and had a good experience but this time was absolutely shocking! Our food took ages to come out, my food was fine however 2 of the 3 steaks were not cooked to the preference asked for. Took a while to get a waitresses attention to send the steak back that was well done and should've been med-rare and also my mum didnt get any roasted veg and my aunt didnt get any sweet potatoes as they should've done. After 10 mins of sending my aunts steak back the waitress comes back in a bit of a abrupt tone and says as there's half a steak eaten she can't replace it with a new 1 unless its the cheaper/smaller steak or she can give us a massive 5% discount off this £20 steak ? i thought this was ridiculous and if anything should've been 50% discount as they messed it up. In the end my aunt decided to keep the original steak as we were getting nowhere and a lot of attitude from the waitress. My mum and aunt complain to the manager and she was absolutely down right rude, it was disgusting behaviour. Basically said when we paid can we leave. My mum says oh don't worry we will and won't be coming back again and the manager chirps back with thats fine because we're closing down soon. Very appalling, made our experience very upsetting! I think the name of the manager was jessica

Had date night here for the first time, plenty of vegetarian options available, food came out quick was well presented and was hot. Cocktails were great, loved the flaming zombie, would definitely recommend. Our server Curtis was amazing, he definitely an asset to your company, his people skills are exceptional. Thank you for a great evening.

A really good visit. First time we have been. Booked a table via the app which was a little confusing as it kept asking how many people I was booking for but hey ho, it let me confirm eventually. On arrival I could see it was moderately busy, only waited a short moment before being taken promptly to outlet seats with a menu. Table and chairs were spotlessly clean (as, it appeared, was the rest of the restaurant. On seating the waitress then disappeared without another word. We had ample time to look over the menu and figure what we wanted to order. We ordered loaded nachos and halloumi for starters (the halloumi we found a little later was not in stock). As the nachos were a large portion we decided to stick with that and share. I was unsure between two mains and asked the waiter what he recommended and went with the pork belly in treacle and partner the steak. The nachos…. Definitely enough for two people there! Hot, loads of topping, more than we could fit on to all the nachos. Also, nice and hot! Once done we had a bit of a wait for our mains, but it was busy so no worries. When I food arrived it was again, piping hot. The steak wasn’t a premium cut but did have a good flavour and even though cooked well done, was still nice and juicy. The pork belly was lovely, plenty of meat on the slice, and very tender, served with a fried egg, rice, beans and sweet corn. The food filled us nicely and tasted good. Our only remark was that for the price of the steak, we would have got a better cut at other restaurants. Should we go again we certainly wouldn’t have this. I had a little room left so ordered churros with chocolate sauce. I’ve never had these before but they were delicious, especially dipped in the sauce. Clearly freshly cooked, light on the inside with a good crunch on the outside, the portion size was also very good for the price. For drink we has the raspberry, strawberry and lime mocktail. These had a good flavour but I felt the amount of ice soon diluted this. Personally, if I go again and have a mocktail I think I’ll tell them to go easy on the ice so that I can retain more of the flavour. The waiter was brilliant brought the food while it was piping hot, answered questions fully and knowledgeably so ensured he had a tip at the end. Well done Chiquitos, it’s a shame you are closing next month, I wish I had ‘found’ you earlier!

I popped in to the restaurant to see what all the fuss about Choquito was. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was good. I liked the straw hats at the table. A nice touch indeed. The bar counter was good. Ordered a starter portion of tacos, a spare ribs and a quessedilla. I want blown away with the quality of the food. It was good but not really something to go back in for again. Sher, of you like Mexican food, this might be your go to spot. But as a person who goes to a restaurant primarily for the food and doesn't really care about the ambience and atmosphere, this didn't feel like it deserved a second visit. The location is good, plenty of parking on site and the prices reflect this as well.Quality 3/5Quantity 3/5Service and staff 5/5Would I visit again? Probably not.

We haven’t visited for a long time and we will not be coming back anytime soon. It’s 17:30 on a Wednesday and restaurant is quiet with only 3 tables occupied, despite this the service is appalling. Our starters sat under the hot plate for a long time and when it came to table was like warm. The table beside us had to go looking for someone to pay the bill and found the staff congregation in corner chatting. It really is awful service and mediocre food, don’t waste your money go elsewhere !!!!

Very good food and service. 241 cocktails and we used nhs discount which made it very good value. Couldn’t fault it

The worst meal we've ever eaten. Soggy sweet potato wedges, a burger that came without a bun, a pathetic helping of salad and the most awful tasting cole slaw. The first and definitely the last time we eat here. I only wish I had my phone so I could have photo evidence of just how bad this meal was.

Arrived to our reservation of 15 people on time for Mothers Day and were seated quickly. Took a while to take orders and seemed very rushed. Waited 1.5hrs for our food and due to this we had to buy many drinks as we had finished them by time the food arrived. When food arrived, a few meals were wrong. Sea bass meal had no flavour and was soggy, informed staff of this- no apology, was offered an alternative which was put onto the bill as an extra meal which meant we paid even more! Poor service and meals for the price. When bill arrived, they had added additional meals plus a £45 service charge! This then had to be discussed to remove. Wouldn’t return again and wouldn’t recommend.

Not a big fan, took grandkids here was quite ish but food to spicy, said on menu it was mild dish but blew my head of honestly don't come here if you dont like incredibly spicy food. Atmosphere good though and staff very friendly couldn't do enough for us x

Such a shame.Went for an early dinner with children on a Saturday night. Service was very slow and very inattentive, also used the facilities before the food to find all soap dispensers in the gents were empty so you could only wash your hands with water. We also ordered from the children’ s menu for our three year old, choosing the children’s fajitas. Barely any of it was eaten as the chicken was incredibly dry to the point it was almost inedible, but worse was the fact the peppers that it came with were covered in black pepper and a spice mix. Predictably our three year old didn’t like this. There was no mention of this on the printed menu, it merely said peppers. Had to flag down a server as no one had been to the table since the food was dropped off. Asked if we could have the peppers replaced for plain ones and we were told no, they cannot do it as they have to coat the peppers due to menu specs from head office, quite ridiculous. Was offered no alternative and also had to remind them we had received no vegetable sticks with the children’s meal. Unimpressed with the service all round. the adults meals were good but the night was massively overshadowed by the poor children’s food and poor service.
