I was looking for good qulity indian/Nepalese meal having eaton them for 25 years and traveled to both countries along with worked with 100s from both countries..Very nice place with revised menu. Very friendly service , food to above average standard in texture and sauce( jumbo prawn, panneer curry, chicken dumpling, fish, goat curry and poppadoms plus rice and salad.)Selction of 4 starters , 2 main cousers and side dishs. A pint of cobra plus glass of wine including tip £60 it was quite as early but water feature and decor all nice prbley great atmosphere later in day.

Probably one of the best restaurants in the world as far as we were concerned when we ate there recently. Lamb chops, crispy okra, goat curry, saag, fish molee - all perfect......and the service was wonderful too.Parking: Did not need parking as we walked from our hotel.

Since takeover, curry dish has gone up 27% and the meat portion decreased, mainly sauce. The flavour is there though. Note: lemon rice no longer lemony. Should have had boiled. Naan breads shrunk to thin perfect circle rather than traditional tandoor oval, must have been peshwari dust. Shocked at prawn starter, 4 prawns for £12. The best curry now worst and off our list.

Read very good reviews on this restaurant so I took my 3 friends here for dinner on 2nd March. On arrival we were greeted quickly & sat down at a table in a very spacious dining room with nice ambience, the area wasn’t rammed with tables which was nice for our comfort. There were 4 of us in total and we ordered starters of onion bhaji, chicken majestic, malai murgh & some garlic king prawns, unfortunately all of these starters were lacking seasoning, lacking flavour, the salad on all dishes were dry and with no salad dressing, the malai murgh was the worst we’ve ever tasted, it just had the smell and taste of boiled chicken, my guest actually spat it out that’s how awful it was, the onion bhaji was soggy & very oily, infact there was oil on my plate that’s how bad it was, these were probably fried in cold dirty oil hence the outcome, the king prawns were decent & so was the chicken majestic but still average. Our mains were 2x chicken bhuna, 1x chicken madras & 1x chicken Khurkuri which is their special, we also ordered 3 rice & 3 naan. The curries were not so bad, sauce on the madras was very thick which isn’t how a madras normally is which has a medium consistency runny sauce, my khurkuri was very nice and aromatic, the bhuna wasn’t like bhuna we normally and traditionally have which are made with lots of onions & tomatoes, the sauce they came in was thick and almost like puréed lentils, I ordered a cheese & garlic naan which I paid a premium for but it came out as plain garlic, ontop of this all of our drinks were flat, we didn’t bother to complain as we just wanted to eat and get out without making a fuss. The value for money here I feel isn’t worth it, the quality of the dishes left us feeling disappointed that we’d chosen this restaurant to enjoy a dinner with friends, the only positive is that the service was friendly and attentive however we don’t recommend nor will be returning.

Lovely food, service wasn’t the best.Table of 8 starters all came out and 2 were missing they came out 10 minutes later. Mains all came out but took around 15-20 mins from the first to the last.Food was really nice just the service let it down. Prices reasonable also.

Finally a good restaurant in my neighbourhood, must try them. Staffs at this restaurant are very attentive and very respectful. Big shout out to gentleman named subash all the way from himalayas (nepal). Highly recommended to

Myself and my family went to Gurkha yesterday. It was very quiet and at one point I thought the restaurant is closed(not a single customer inside). Having gone inside I asked them for a seat away from the window side as I did not want to sit there. They refused and said it is reserved. With not a single person in the restaurant other than the staff, it was very rude for them to straight say NO. Literally all tables had reserved sign on and they were choosy about where we sat. We walked out and went to tap and tandoor which is the restaurant we normally go to.I will never experiment Gurkha again.

We arrived for the breakfast on a Saturday morning and were very disappointed with the overall service. The restaurant was promoting its desi style open buffet but the this was poorly organised as most of the buffet trays were empty and little choice was available. We asked for refills but only one waiter was at the station, there was no cups for the tea , no juice. We had to keep asking for items that should be available as part of the buffet they were promoting. Food that arrive was cold , we won’t be going back again.

I made a reservation and confirmed my booking but the restaurant had no record of my request on arrival. We were eventually sat down and the waiter took our order for drinks and immediately asked what starters we wanted. The starters were barely finished and they wanted to take our orders for main course. The whole meal felt very rushed as if they wanted us to finish and leave. They were clearing the plates from my friends before I'd even finished my meal. The food was good however but not outstanding.I felt the ambience was a bit dull but we were tucked away from the main part of the restaurant.Overall, reasonable food with room for improvement on the service.
