Had an impromptu visit, we were very impressed with the menu. With live sport on the atmosphere was great and to top it off we were able to take our dog with us too!

The food was really good and reasonably priced. They have a good range of food options too and everyone loved their meal.

I will start by saying the Morehen is an OK pub, the food is acceptable to a point even though last time I was there I had to send the meal back however, the reason I am putting this review up is because I was in the bar tonight (NY's Eve) and we ordered a bottle of red wine, Shiraz, none of us enjoyed the wine it certainly wasn't the best for £15.50 and after looking at the back of the bottle we see its only 11%!!! Who sells red wine at 11% and for £15.50?? Not the best place for a nice drink, atmosphere was OK.

Very disappointing. Not only is the beer warm, it’s also incredibly over expensive for the quality on offer. The ale is lukewarm, which is surprising for a CAMRA pub. Lovely spot next to the lake but there is absolutely no reason for it to be that expensive, especially if what you get is that disappointing. Definitely better spots in P’boro where you can get a better experience and prevent holes in your pocket. Avoid if can, your taxi into town will likely be cheaper that what you’ll spend on a bad night here.
