Stayed here after a friends wedding and we have no complaints whatsoever. The rooms and spacious, clean and a really nice bathroom. Ideal location to town and a fantastic breakfast. The staff serving at breakfast were so polite and welcoming.

Oliver's Lodge is in urgent need of refurbishment. Carpets need replacing. Room was large but basic, bed rock hard. Traffic noise (at the front) worsened by old single-glazed windows. The bathroom was simple and clean but the shower water flow was just a trickle, almost unusable. The forecourt area in front of the building is in a bad state, many potholes. Communication with the hotel was difficult - no email confirmation when I booked and the advertised phone number didn't work. Despite all this, the staff were pleasant and friendly. You get what you pay for - I paid only £67 B&B.

Myself and my workmate have just spent 2 weeks down working around St Ivy's. The hotel is fantastic and the staff having been exceptional, all of them from the manger downwards always have a smile and happy greeting, nothing was to much trouble. Even when we purchased a takeways, they would open the dinning room and provide plates and cutlery for us to eat our meal. The rooms are very large and meticulous cleaned everyday. The hotel is not the sort for a honeymoon but as a base you cannot go wrong. Absolutely brilliant. Five stas

Very good hotel. No bar, and no evening meals let this place down....I feel the varwas not open because of lack of staff which was a shame because it would have taken a good few quid talking to the residents this week.. Who ALL walked to wetherspoons instead....

Great little hotel offering great value, friendly and professional staff and a great breakfast included. Location is a 5 minute walk to the High Street with plenty of parking. Rooms are always spotlessly clean, and staff always offer a warm welcome. Would definitely recommend.

Great little hotel conveniently located in a quiet location a short walk from the town centre and Waitrose. As a frequent guest, I put much greater store in the friendly professionalism of the staff, the spotless rooms and the great value for money above the dated decor of a small hotel bravely getting by in these uncertain times. Good Staff friendly and helpful Rooms warm Not so good Limited breakfast with moldy tost Dusty Carpets needed replacing a few years ago Mattress was like a plank of wood Summary This hotel has so much potential, you can see what it could be however, it is now rum down and in need of a refurb.

A good budget hotel, we had a large, clean bedroom with comfortable bed. Unfortunately, at the time of our stay the restaurant and bar were closed due to staff shortages. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and pleasant.

Comfortable rooms and the staff have to be the most pleasant, helpful and accommodating people you could ever hope to meet. Our continental breakfast just kept coming. If you can feed up bikers into breakfast submission you are onto a winner! Thanks guys.

Avoid if you don’t want to ingest all sorts of human and animal shedding and remnants. Place is crawling with spiders and is perfectly set up for Halloween with the rather extensive array of cobwebs- not sure they’d get away with it any other time of year. Shoddy room with all manner of problems. Staff unhelpful, invisible and dare I say plain lazy. These cowboys want money for nothing. Take your custom elsewhere.

We had a 4 night stay in the hotel I would rate this as a one star room not serviced we had 2 paper cups and 2 stirrers, breakfast was continental which stale croissant, small variety packets of cereals toast and tinned fruit tea or coffee certainly wasn’t worth getting out of bed for. The hotel was very tired and in need of make over
