“First time visiting this particular JDW. Nice atmosphere, our food (beef madras) was well cooked in fact it tasted like an authentic takeaway Indian curry. Choice of beers is very good and the prices favourable. Staff were polite and efficient and I'm sure we will definitely been visiting again in the future.”

“Visited for a quiet evening meal with my wife. Been here quite a few times over the years. Usual good Chef and Brewer standards. Easy parking. Very easy booking online. Could use a light outside main entrance. Not good on way in and worse on exiting going from light to dark and had to be careful with my footing - easily fixed and maybe just a light bulb required.Starters were good and good selection of wines by the glass. My wife’s main course was a seafood grill which she really enjoyed. I had the Atlantic cod and chips which was OK - bit disappointed though as a few years ago, this choice used to be really great with triple cooked chips and amazing golden fluffy battered cod. Now very average chips and a dark brown slightly over cooked flat battered fish. But, quite tasty nonetheless.Pricing was reasonable and faultless friendly and prompt service.Certainly will return, but sadly won’t order the quality reduced Atlantic Cod”
