I'm only writing this because the two young staff members have worked flat out during the time I've been here....12.00 midday 20.12.23. So pleasant, calm and courteous despite a constant queue. Not their fault, everyone in agreement that they're great staff.....Costa give them a bonus for Christmas and an extra pair of hands....also call in a plumber to fix a constantly running tap in one (at least) of the loos!!!!

My visit just now! Had a chocolate cake. Cappuccino. Bacon roll. My dad had a sausage roll. Esso. Saw some friends there. Wasn't very busy! Service was with a smile ?. Just what you want!Food and drink really good! Nice and warm there!

Ran out of ice by 1pm when temps were predicted to be 30 plus degrees, one wonders about the management of these

Friendly staff, good supply of drinks. Food selection can be a little limited sometimes but there is always something tasty.

First of all - I am a former Costa Coffee employee, having worked up to management in busy stores at an exciting time with the brand between 2009-2014 and remain involved with the brand now so I feel I am in a good place to give an honest review. I have visited this store regularly as I work close by and have had a consistently bad experience each time but lately it seems to be getting worse. I understand this is a franchise store and I think that the franchise owner should be brought to scrutiny on the state of this store. It’s dirty, dim due to several dead light bulbs, toilets frequently out of order, no music, no atmosphere and the staff look deflated and lacking in leadership. However, I must stress I believe this is NOT the fault of the staff themselves. I really believe they have some good people here who have been treated poorly and given no support and not being given the tools to provide the right service. I’ve never seen a manager here in over a year. The cake display and cold fridge are always at least half empty, at any given time of day. The drinks are often warm; I’ve even had americanos served warm, as this is predominantly boiling water and hot coffee it would indicate a maintenance issue with either the coffee machine or hot water boiler depending on where they pour the water from. It appears they also have an issue with bunzl ordering as they don’t always have the correct takeaway products. Honestly, it saddens me. I’d wondered if this was a ‘costa’ issue for a while but having moved to a new area and tried the 3 costas (2 equity and one franchise) I can safely say that this is just a Costa Coffee Eaton Socon issue. I hope that the staff read this and understand it’s not their fault and that they put some pressure on whoever is above them to get this place in order.

This place seriously lacks hygiene ! Went in at 8am and all of the tables needed cleaning, there were sticky smears on windows, crumbs etc on chairs and floor, toilet was disgusting,(one of them was out of order)smelly, dirty toilet seat and soaking wet floor, only plus points were the food and drink were up to standard and the staff were friendly and polite ! C’mon Costa get yourself a cleaner ! Very grubby !

Accidentally overstayed to feed and change my distressed newborn baby. Appealed to Civil Enforcement who rejected the appeal - disgusting company. Anything to make money. AVOID

The best thing about this coffee shop is the staff, warm, friendly and very helpful. As a man with a disability, I appreciate their kindness in helping me to take my drink to a table. The worst thing is the parking, not much of it, and you can only park 1 hour unless you punch your reg into the tablet on the wall. If you stay over an hour and haven't put your reg into the tablet on the wall, you will receive a fine! Also, WiFi hasn't worked for a long time!

I visited the store last Wednesday Morning with My Dad who has dementia and was greeted by a polite young lady which I think she said her name was Ellis or Ellie. She made the store so welcoming to each customer that walked through the door. She cares about customers and shows kindness and respect to the elderly and young customers. She made our visit to the store the best!

Not a big fan of Costa as I find their coffee to a bit over roasted - pretty much burnt. But appreciate that’s a matter of personal taste. Clean with friendly service and reasonable choice of light lunch food and convenient for us at the time and way preferable to Starbucks

Latte could've been a touch hotter in my opinion. Other half had a mocha and his was hot where as my skinny latte was drinkable immediately. It would've been nice to take my time with it, instead I felt I had to drink up or waste it going cold.Parking: Empty spaces when we arrived, but not sure there's ample on a busy weekend afternoon.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramped entry and spacious inside made for comfortable wheelchair access.

Normally alright but lately when I order a caramel iced latte they don’t put in the correct caramel sauce that sits at the bottom. And today they have started getting out the hoover to do the floors and putting chairs up onto tables way before their closing time, they close at 19:00pm so for them to do this 2 hours before closing just makes everyone having their drinks and food to hurry up.I think this costa store has its own opening and closing hours compared to what is stated on the door.

What an appalling way of treating customers ! I stopped there on my way to a customer meeting. As it was delayed, I stayed at the cafe do catch up on some work (the staff at Costa was inviting me to plug my laptop in etc… and said there were no troubles staying for a bit). My surprise was a week later when I received a £100 parking charge for having parked for more than 60 minutes (can be discounted to £60…!) Fair play, I didn’t check the signs, but in most cases it’s standard procedure to have free car park for a minimum of two hours… My appeal has been rejected. Safe to say I WILL NOT return. May as well go to Hotel Chocolat round the corner. What an absolute disgrace in those difficult times as well.
